Hi all! how are they? Today we bring you 18 curiosities from the selection saga that you probably did not know and will make you love this series even more. We have no doubt that this saga has stolen the hearts and fascination of thousands of readers, be it because of the romance involved in the story or the incredible characters that make it up. Without saying more, let's get started ...
1. The first three covers in the series are blue, red, and white, which are the colors of the United States flag. The publisher did it intentionally to make a play on words between the name of the protagonist (America) and the old name Illéa (America).
2. America's dress on the cover of ‘La Selección’ was originally purple-greyish, later it was edited to become blue, so we can say they fooled us all.
3. If you are interested, the model on the cover is Audrey Hollister.
4. ‘The Elite’ dress was pink and was altered to become orange-red. Deceived again.
5. The photo shoot for the three covers took place on the same day. However, the first attempts to create the cover of the last book failed to satisfy the managers or the author, and they decided to try again with three different dresses since the character of America had changed so much that they could not find a suitable pose for the cover page.
6. The Selection was proposed to become a television series that would be broadcast on "The CW" television, however, they canceled the plans since they had another series of princesses on the air.
7. In April 2015 Warner Bros won the battle for the rights to ‘The Selection’ to turn it into a film. Although this project also failed.
8. The series has sold more than 3.5 million copies worldwide.

11. The saga has been translated into 32 languages.
12. Kiera Cass tells those who want to be writers not to give up because she wrote the first saga of her at age 30.
13. Did you know that the selection has an alternative ending? The original ending was not going to be the one we currently know, in this ending Clarkson and Maxon would die, so Amberly would adopt America and she would marry Aspen therefore America and Aspen would be the kings of Illea. (I'm personally grateful that this is not the ending we know, it wouldn't be my favorite series if it was.)
14. Before calling all the selected “Lady's” (Whether it is Lady Celeste, Lady Kriss ... etc.), the author thought of calling them Miss, but in the end she realized that it would be a joke with America for Miss America!
15. Kiera Cass has an obsession with One Direction, especially Harry Styles, so she claims that at some point in the saga there is a phrase from one of the band's songs.

COMENTARIO CON SPOILER!
me gustó solo el primer libro, el segundo y tercero no tanto. Hay algunas cosas que me sacan de la historia y que están mal redactadas. Por ejemplo que este enamorada de su ex pero siga ahí intentando ganar por más que ya no le estaban pagando y no tenía ningún beneficio seguir concursando. Osea era muy egoísta al no querer soltar a maxon y se case con otra cuando ella estaba enamorada de su ex porque ella especificaba que lo amaba con todo su ser y que era el único, pero después iba y se besaba con maxon. Tampoco le creí su enamoramiento en los últimos cap sobre maxon. Cuando le quieren disparar a América y maxon se pone delante de ella, me pareció muy tonta esa escena porque tipo ve que maxon se pone delante de ella se cae al piso y ella de lo más tranquila se pone a hablar con su ex y después de tres horas se da cuenta que dispararon a maxon. Otra cosa es que cuando tiene tragedias esta súper tranquila. Me refiero por ejemplo cuando muere su papá, se desmaya y después se despierta de lo más normal y se pone a hablar con maxon. Cuando cualquiera se despertaría y se acordaría de lo que le pasó y se pondría a llorar a los gritos. Y así podría nombrar muchas cosas. En fin, 1er libro 10/10, 2do 6/10, 3ero 8/10
