have yall not been paying attention ??? the reason viltrumites a constantly checking on mark because NOLAN left in 1st place.....now imagine you have been conquering planets for THOUSANDS of years, then one of your MOST trusted officers leave his post and also has a viltrumite son on said planet ... you bet your ass i'm going to be checking up on the offspring as much as possible, also there was no reason to check on before he left because 1 hes and was one of their most trusted officers and had a great track record
Remember what Kregg said to Mark "i know this may not appeal to you, given your sympathies" after the viltrumites took Nolan away? they know Mark isn't gonna simply obey and conquer Earth for the empire, they don't trust him, that's why Kregg threatened to kill millions if Invincible didn't do his assigned job, and that's why Anissa was sent to check up on him... Mark is really pissing them off. What's crazy to me is how Mark simply forgot Kregg's words and didn't warn Cecil so they could start preparing for the viltrumites, instead all Mark was thinking about was Amber... it took a viltrumite putting her hand on his girlfriend's neck for Mark to wake up to reality.
When Mark's powers manifested that when the script flipped. And every viltrumite knows about "Nolan's son". Nolan never went back to them after he left Earth. How would the three viltrumites know he had a child unless Nolan was keeping them updated. It looks to me that Nolan was sent to to see if human-viltrumite offspring would be powerful. That was phase 1. Now that they know the offspring are viable they've moved on to phase 2: conquest. Then phase 3: Snu Snu!!!
i believe the plan was for the viltrumite to have a child and wait till their powers develop before they can start their conquest, i think Nolan explained it in the first season very briefly in like one of the last 2 episodes...

last episode General Kregg while talking to Nolan said he conquered hundreds of planets and brought glory to the empire, the viltrumites all know about Nolan, even calling him "The great Nolan" like Lucan did in episode 4 of season 2. Omni-Man is a legend.
Tasha must've meant "never conquered nothing ON EARTH", if that's the case then yeah, Omni-Man was hiding his real intentions while waiting for Mark to grow to see if he would have powers, that's why only after finding out he had, he decided to start conquering the world by first killing its most powerful protectors, the original guardians of the globe... all that was left then was to train Invincible at least a little and finally reveal his plan and try to make Mark join his side, that way Earth would fall much easier, like it did in other dimensions.
Anyway, the reason no viltrumite came to check up on Nolan during these 20 years is because up until he came to Earth he was one of Viltrum's most trusted agents, unlike Mark who proved himself defiant.
Tre and Tasha PLEASE remember this commentary yall had. Y'all are on point and asking all of the right questions without knowing what's going on. It's about to get crazy, can't wait to see everything play out.

You already know the Viltrumites move systematically from galaxy to galaxy enslaving or destroying planets which takes hundreds to thousands of years. Once Nolan deserted his post on Earth, it triggered the Viltrum agents to divert from their current course and come to Earth earlier than scheduled to order Mark to ready the plant for Viltrum rule because if he doesn't they will destroy it. Viltrum prefers to add planets to build their empire with no resistance.

Nolan had to gradually weaken and prepare earth to join Viltrum. Now that the word is out, there's more point in waiting, so they want Mark to do it quickly. Also they're checking on him because they know he doesn't want to do it

Mark fought a grandma version of a viltrumite when he was with Nolan. Anissa is young and in her prime. Mark stood absolutely no chance against her.

Didn’t they already say that he’s conquered 100s of worlds already. So I think it’s partly trust. Now I haven’t read comics so maybe there’s something else as well
@@userious258Think about it. How do they know Nolan had a son? He had to be updating them. He certainly didn't go back to tell them after he left earth. The moment he got powers now they want to move on to conquest. I think they can't reproduce amongst themselves. Although at the same time they seem so robust it would be weird if they couldn't. They don't seem like they would be genetically defunct. Or maybe purebreed Viltrumites take too long to mature like Baby Yoda.

quick correction: the reason no-one came in to check on Nolan is because he HAS conquered hundreds of planets before. He's regarded as one of their best soldiers for doing so. They mentioned it in the last episode when he was getting interrogated in prison.

My theory on why they are on Mark's head about taking over earth is because Nolan was there for 20 plus years. But since they live for thousands of years 20 years is a drop in the bucket. So Nolan was supposed to weaken Earth first by getting rid of the possible threats to Viltrum. Since they found out Noland left his post they gave the mission to Mark and are basically saying finish the mission your father started since according to Nolan he was in the final stage of the plan to get earth ready for Viltrum. I think if they gave Mark a different planet then he would have the same amount of time Nolan had since its a fresh planet. I could be completely wrong though as I have not read the comics.
Plus I believe it's also because Nolan was a loyal soldier that have conquered planets before. Ever Viltrum we met knows about Nolan. So they never had anything to worry about. But like Kreeg said "If that planet can do this to you, it's more toxic than we thought." So Earth now has their attention. And Mark isn't loyal to them, so of course they would check on them

Why they didn't press Nolan as much as Mark? Two things:
1 - Nolan is really REALLY respected on his homeland, he has done this hundreds of times before, they know he'll be just fine
2 - 17 years is absolutely nothing for a Viltrumite, they live for THOUSANDS of years, Nolan realistic could spent two human lifetimes just chilling on earth because anyone from the high command going "damn, he's taking his time with this one, right?" And that was exactly what he was doing before Mark got his powers

Well. Mark cannot best them on his own so I feel that there will be a combination of things. Sinclair that cut homeboy up and made those androids. Those things will be the army that will back mark. That Martian infection will be something that everybody gonna have to work together to fight. And of course the defecting viltramite will play a roll in giving mark enough power to really fight the head viltramite.
Mark is not that strong yet he only in his teens even if he puts his killer intent on, it won't matter

Nolan shows up acting nice and playing the hero. Meets an earth woman, woos her and has a kid. The moment the kid is born he turns and now the invasion is imminent. It seems that they may be looking for a breeding population and Nolan had to wait until he knew that humans would produce offspring with viltrumite powers. Because every time a viltrumite sees Mark they keep commenting on "Nolan's son" and want to see how strong he is. Nolan had to have been updating them because how would they even know he had a son unless he was sending updates. They had to have been monitoring the situation the whole time.
Well, first viltrumites have never abandoned their posts before so that get their attention and then Kreigg said that Omniman has conquered other planets before and that also gets their attention. So now they're focusing on Mark and the planet.

I’m not saying nothing is happening bts because idk. But it actually does add up that they coming check on Mark. When u think about, you’re right that Nolan did give any signs that he was going to complete the mission but they were always under the impression he was going to go through with it. Especially since before Nolan, Thadeus was the only one to rebel against the Viltrumites. Then he abandoned his post so now they’re watching Earth to see if the mission is being complete now.
The Viltrumite race has 100 members left at this point. Also, she does want him. She wants a kid from him. Nolan was so changed by life on earth that the Viltrumites are scared.

Viltrumites get stronger as they age. Mark is the equivalent of a one month old. Thula is strong as all hell, and an elite. Mark has the makings of something great already, he’s just raised to not kill anyone or get close to doing so.

it's not weak they building everything up slowly this season, which is going to pay off very well starting from the last episode going forward. remember the first season started off fast af and it went that way until the end, just wait for episode 8 going into season 3.
