It isn't fortnite doing the creative maps, it's the creators that make the maps, just like UGC Program people make copy righted items that's not user friendly, and to be completely honest fortnite did probably take some inspiration from roblox sure, I don't think they meant to directly copy the platform

See minecraft hypixel never owned the original idea from the game “the pit” and the map wasn't even that famous until a youtuber named geerzy made a fortnite map in creative called the pit which was a free for all.and it had like 40k-50k people at a time and while hypixel was only getting 200 players and from this geerzy made from 3 million to 13 million which is crazy to be honest and after that a lawsuit started in which geerzy was doing stuff to defend himself.idk more
