Imagine being eliminated from the Major because your PC crashed in the middle of a series-defining retake.
Well, Virtus.pro doesn’t have to. That happened to them. And it could happen again.

About 4:46 when the Bot cuts out right when the stutter starts. It's not PGL's Bot, it's how the automatic caster works in the game. It works based on movement and if a player is close to an enemy. If a player starts stuttering, or his game crashes, there isn't any movement (there aren't constant frames), so the Bot is not switching to that player's POV because it doesn't detect any "action".

As Gaules pointed out in Brazil, yes it is a shitty situation and sure they shouldn't re-do the whole round or anything, however the organizers are indeed to blame since they could've at the very least made a pause, switched PCs and do some stalling just to let VP to cool out, having to play another round right after such BS is beyond tilting even more so with so much in the line. It is not about being actually technically helpful, just simply being empathic towards the competitors and supportive to at least give them some breathing room. Also PGL has being shitty in many regards so I honestly wasn't expecting you guys to try covering it up for them. This haven't been the first or last issue in this championship and for an organization that literally never does shit for the community outside of the majors this is honestly just fuel to the fire.

The game has a history of gpu driver crashes. From the days it was in closed beta to as early as today, literally. Reddit is packed full of threads from people who experience the game crashing not only itself but also said GPU driver. Ironically the most threads are not about Nvidia, I'll let you guess which red cousin takes the crown here.
Also, this isn't a simple crash either. It had a hard crash because that's how badly the game screwed up. Maybe the huge backlog of issues would hint at.. you know, the game not being the best coded game on the market?

What? No, quite the opposite. If the game crashes then it would exit to the desktop, but if it's the GPU's drivers that fail, then EVERYTHING related to graphics crashes, and that includes the desktop.
