How fun. This is one of the reasons I so much enjoy growing succulents... you often get so many MORE plants from the mother plant. (Just gave one away yesterday!) I've often tossed out the old Gritty Mix when re-potting thinking any nutrients in the Gritty Mix were probably used up. Is that true? Hope you had a productive trip to the "other" Washington! You're definitely right that most of the nutrients are gone. My current approach is mixing in some worm castings when I reuse old soil. I hadn't started when I recorded this video, but that is my plan moving forward.

What kind of soil are you using?
