The 1941 proposal of the Franco British Union wasn’t rejected by the french people but was rejected by the generals. The French Prime Minister and Cabinet had agreed to the proposals, however once Petain and Weygand heard about the proposal they threatened to resign from their posts which pressured the Cabinet into eventually rejecting the idea.
Yes I even mentioned this in the video. I said that the French people rejected the Suez proposal.

Unfortunately they just get another revolution plus it would show the British are not going to just gang impresse American sailors but force the USA back into the United Kingdom which would stoke the desire for independence and desire to drive the British out of North America.
The main question is... is the union going the stay after ww2?

Especially that this union UK is monarchy while France is republic which is something will not co-exist and considering that France overthrow it's own monarchy (few times) then no way they would keep their 1000 years enemy monarch as their own

I enjoyed the video. One correction about North Africa. If the French were still in the war after 1940, Libya would have been conquered by the British and the French by early 1941. The British nearly did this in Operation Compass (October 1940-February 1941) and they were only stopped by Germans coming the Italians aid against Greece. Rommel would probably never been sent to North Africa and Afrika Korps more than likely would never have existed as Libya would have fallen by February 1941.
Good point! In my scenario Libya did fall in 1941 as you said, but maybe Rommel wouldn't go there

I remember watching a show on Netflix called Knightfall, in the show an English envoy proposes a marriage between the daughter of the French King and the Prince of England saying that union would make their daughter the most powerful ruler on Earth. May seem exaggerating but if France and UK united they would have ruled all of the world literally, unlike America who uses soft power more France and Britain directly ruled land on every continent.
Yes, especially after the second world war, they would control most of Africa and their colonial empire would be huge

Cool scenario i honestly think that europe will do everything in their power to keep the colonies as to secure the resources for themself at least in africa also you should give upper silesia to poland not the koningsberg due to it being ethnicly german excluding the masuren part while upper silesia had polish majority

A lot of people tend to use the constitution of cadiz as a way to prevent the collapse, but by that time, areas such as western Florida and Argentina were already revolting, + it would have just sparked revolts in the more conservative areas of the empire such as New Spain or Peru.
I would want to see what happens if the Ottoman Empire joined the 7 years war, split between joing the two main factions of said war

it was a nice video but i think it was kind of unrealistic how the war went of
i don’t think the germans would attack the soviets initially
one if the reasons he attacked them was that they had officially made france surrender and was mostly safe from the west on land
i think there was going to be a much bloodier fight in north africa in our timeline the germans thought the war there is going to finish soon after they attacked russia but now i think they will put enough troops there to secure the african front and taking the suez channel then they may attack russia or putting their focus completely in the new union i am really not sure but all i know is that operation Barbarossa would not happen how and when it did in our timeline
Germany was still safe from France, since they took them over. Only lost Africa, which wouldn't stop them from taking the Soviets
