National Crop Insurance Indemnities and Loss Ratios

This short video shows visually, over time, the degree to which the nation's crop (corn, soybeans, wheat and cotton) producers have received indemnities. Also shown are loss ratios, or the ratio of indemnities received to total premium paid.
As depicted, losses can vary widely but are often geographically concentrated.
