When do you put out your cold weather crops cauliflower lettuce cabbage onions ect
Here in the Fraser valley we’re zone is 8b. I’ve already planted out my onions that I started from seed in the green house, as well as some broccoli. And in our unheated greenhouse I have lettuce, peas, radishes, greens, and green onions. 😊 I do have cloche and hoops for emergencies though. If a hard frost is coming I’ll cover some of the tender bitties. Where are you from? Have you started planting yet?
@@TheWilsonsOnWilson I am also in 8b/a, that’s what I asked as I am in a similar area. have my onions out and on the weekend put out some lettuce, cauliflower, cabbage, mainly because I was rubbing out of room in the house for my tomato’s and peppers. Would kill for a green house like you have!
@@matthewkostiuk899 ooh that’s awesome! I haven’t got our cabbage or cauliflower out yet but hopefully that’ll happen soon! And I am loving our new greenhouse! Although I’ll never buy another outsunny one! We actually built our other two out out reclaimed timber, rebar, and pvc. It works great as a small hoop house and it only cost us about $400 in materials. So we got a decent amount of space for a relatively small investment.
