What I love about Japan is giving 200% in merging the ancient and modern, the traditional and contemporary, the culture and progress. No in betweens, it’s either they’re in and out, which results to the most beautiful pairings I’ve seen.

What I keep telling my wife Japan is not just Tokyo, I keep seeing so much beauty and interesting architecture, parks, landscape elsewhere. Feels like 2 weeks just gives a small glimpse of life outside the concrete cities. Thanks for brings this to us.
BTW, getting out early means you can see so much more, without the crowds. A few months ago we were in Prague, got out around 8 am, found a store, who had a small cafe for breakfast. Around 10 am,it was like someone turned on the open sign and everywhere was full of tourists.
I visited Kanazawa in May. There weren't a lot of tourists. My visit also coincided with a festival at that time. Kanazawa is truly one of the highlights of my trip. The city has so many types of flowers in spring, and every alley in their neighborhoods smells like someone is cooking the best broth ever. Their market sells fresh, affordable sashimi that could be bought and eaten on the spot
I also went to the cute Ishiura shrine! Everything in Kanazawa is so cute and calm ❤ I will definitely revisit

13:50 Oh, how cute! I didn't know they had barn swallows in Japan! They make their nests out of mud and straw, and build them under the eaves of buildings to give them protection from owls. We always end up with a new pair of them in the summer every year, and settle down over our front porch here in Georgia (USA). They make the cutest chattering sounds, and I've often found myself wondering if they're just having full blown conversations with it, it's really fascinating and soothing to listening to them. :)
I was here in April of 2023, it was so beautiful, the people were so wonderful. Another amazing place in Japan.

I miss Kanazawa, I like how it wasn't too busy and for the most part calm. Miss that trip of going to the onsen in Gifu, Shirakawa, and Takayama.
It was such a lovely place! Definitely not as crowded as other areas of Japan. Shirakawago and Takayama coming up next ✨

Kanazawa is my favorite city in the Ishikawa prefecture. Visited during Sakura season and had a wonderful kimono photo shoot along the river and Higashi Chaya Gai district. Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for taking me down memory lane. I hope to go back again. Enjoy the Gifu prefecture as well! It's a truly amazing and wonderful place to visit. Must visit the amazing Iwase-ke house. The owners are lovely and give the tour as well.
I saw some people doing photo shoots there as well! Looked amazing! 🥰I had an amazing time in Gifu! Excited to share ✨

I can't remember the name of the exhibit but the room with just the square in the roof, there is one by the same artist in a sculpture park near where I live in England and it's one of my favourite places to relax.

Hey Sol! I've recently gone to Japan and I have been hooked with the idea ever since, so I watch your videos almost religously at this point because of how good they are at representing Japan! Howver, I wish yoh didn't put these HUGE subtitles in your video editing. You already have the captions built in with CZcams, I hope you do consider removing them or at least changing how they look. Kanazawa is in eastern Japan not western. Kyoto is in western Japan.
