Opa, Olive! Thank you for this video - I'm half Greek and marrying into a family of Scandinavian-Americans, we're going to try to get some of them to participate and the way you break this down is great and easy to follow :)

Bravo! I love the cat! Are you a teacher of other subject? Yours is the FIRST video out of 20 that actually show step by step, counting out steps. Efkharisto poli! I've spent years in Greece, with a Greek partner....everyone always dragged me out onto the floor and just expected I'd 'pick it up'. No way! I've taken other kinds of dance lessons (folk, tap, rock) and you have to be taught the steps. You're the winner. Excellent on all counts, including not having the music playing.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the cat and the video. I'm a high school teacher. Last year, I was looking for videos to send out to my friends for my wedding and then decided to make some videos instead.
      happy dancing, cheers

Looking for a video to teach me the steps I came up on your's. Though I'm native I'm definitely not into dancing at all. Today I must dance so I have to admit that your teaching is by far the best instruction's video for someone like me.
Σε ευχαριστώ πολύ για την πολύτιμη βοήθεια σου!

That’s a great idea, I really appreciate that. I’ll work on editing the video.
There is an example performance in the show notes that you could watch until I fix the video. :)

My fiance and I are having our reception at private room in a restaurant. Even though there will just be dinner and not dancing, we'd like to still have a first dance and we'd like to incorporate Greek dancing into it a bit since he's Greek. Any recommendations for Greek dance or dance elements that we could do together in smallish space (and that I could do in a wedding dress)? Song ideas? I love the beginning of Zorba, and we thought to start off making like we're going to do a traditional slow dance then part and hold hands to do the beginning of Zorba, but there is no way there is room to do the fast part. I don't know.

Congratulations! I don't check this channel too often so I hope I'm not responding too late.
If you like the Zorba song, go for it. It's all about having fun. You could do this dance - czcams.com/video/4dRaB5SjoOo/video.html
And for the fast part, you could just freestyle as they do in the movie or cut the song off earlier.
