I updated my firmware and I have to say the pin entry setup is worse than the previous version. I am not certain what number I am selecting and have had to do over a number of times. The previous version left no room for doubt on what number you are selecting. Looking forward to another upgrade with a better pin function.

Hello, its pretty simple, to install apps on the Ledger device, you have to connect your device to Ledger Live, head to "My Ledger" tab, and choose the apps you want (for example, BTC or ETH..) Then you would need to add accounts for the apps installed to be able to generate your receive address!

Hey, You do not need a laptop to complete the setup. In fact, you can set up your Ledger Nano S plus even by connecting to a wall charger to power the device. You can do it with an Android phone too via a cable. However, it is good to use it with a phone/PC as the Ledger Live app verifies the Ledger device for its authenticity when you set it up and/or connect to the Manager section. You need not connect to any website to finish the setup. Please do not enter your 24-word recovery phrase into any app (not even the Ledger Live app) and don't share it with anyone (not even Ledger).

Hello I just have a question regarding the setup process. I always here everyone say it’s important to keep your cold wallet storage offline and never connected online, BUT in the video it says we have to download the live app and then your also connecting your ledger to laptop in the setup process also. So I’m confused isn’t this exposing your ledger and not keeping it offline? I just got my nano s plus but before I set it up I want to make sure I’m doing the most secure way possible. Thanks
Hey, to better clarify, what is meant is to never store your 24 words recovery phrase online (like on PC/Phone/word doc/screenshot etc..)
The purpose of the cold wallet is that it generated your recovery phrase on spot on the Ledger device, in which only you are the one seeing them and saving them on a physical copy. Even if you are connected to WiFi, your 24 words generated from Ledger are safe: www.ledger.com/academy/security/our-custom-operating-system-bolos
Unlike other hot wallets in which your 12 word recovery phrase is pre generated online, with Ledger, your 24 words are never online unless you deliberately put them online on any software.
- Please keep your 24 words out of any online activity
- Never share them with anyone but yourself
- Ledger will never ask you for your recovery phrase
- Keep it in a safe place and away from any possible damage.

Another question- so I’ve seen a lot of talk on twitter about the condition of your package upon delivery and how the unboxing of device should look like and ppl say you should have some type of seating sticker you have to remove from box? Mine never had any stickers, just plastic wrap around box, I tried reaching out to ledger on twitter a few times but no answer back. My concern is bc my shipping envelope had a decent size rip in it upon arrival so want to make sure it’s not compromised. Also heard that customs may be opening these packages ? Is that true?

Hey, Your concern is totally understandable. Don't worry, a Ledger device is checked for its authenticity every time it accesses the 'Manager' in the Ledger Live app or when it goes through the 'Genuine Check' during the onboarding process. As long as you have set your own PIN, and generated your recovery phrase yourself, it is safe. I have 2 nano s plus devices. I followed the multiple user set up video. BUT... in Ledger Live it shows the TOTAL portfolio dollar amount of both devices. Yes, I did label each account/app so I know which is on which device, BUT, HOW can I see the total dollar amount of each device... separately?

Hi, Ledger. So when powering on for the first time you're presented with a seed phrase. Is it possible to randomise the seed phrase and not just use the default one given to you.
You can always create your own seed phrase and then import it to your ledger if you’re concerned about it.

Hey, we are here to help. To clarify, KYC requirements have nothing to do with Ledger itself, we advise you in this case to contact Moonpay's support as they handle their app on our interface. Same as all the integrated partners.
Feel free to check the other options available in the "discover tab" section, as there are various options to purchasing crypto directly through Ledger Live.
You are also always free to purchase from the exchange of your choice and then send your funds to your Ledger protected accounts, saying this in case you already used an exchange previously before owning a Ledger.

Hey there - if you use the same recovery phrase with your Nano S Plus, it will essentially create a "copy" of your Nano S wallet. If you want to hold different assets on your wallets, then you should use 2 different recovery phrases, but if you want your Nano S Plus to replace or be a backup for your Nano S, then you can use the same phrase!
Got my ledger s plus last month. Slowly moving all my crypto off exchanges to Ledger.
I got mine a couple weeks ago. I spent three days watching and reading every Ledger videos/articles to transfer coinbase to ledger. Spent four hours on the phone trying to figure out why the addresses ledger provides won’t work on ledger. They checked everything and both coinbase people said it was a ledger issue. Of course ledger has no phone service and emailing to fix an issue like this is a joke and beyond frustrating and of course ledger is telling me it’s a coinbase issue. FFS I hate ledger. Also I think it’s lame that customers are asking directed questions at ledger here on their YT channel and they can’t even bother answering. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

@@Ledger 373542. I also am not certain I’m getting the right addresses as I’m a newbie and I barely understand crypto. I have shib, eth2 and eth and tiny bits of others I can’t think of. I tried to get the addresses in live and enter in coinbase. Magically after the third day the shib moved, I think. Like I said four hours with coinbase and they checked things said it’s ledger. The lazy guy answering my emails just said well obv it’s coinbase. I work 12 hour days and have little time for this but I had last Friday off and devotes the entire long weekend to setting up ledger. You can imagine the frustration. I can’t even return it now bc some is on ledger. My eth 2 is ataked but that shouldn’t stop me? If it did I’m certain that one of your vids would’ve mentioned it. All the vids want to show how to move bitcoin. Why not show other coins and the special needs? I’m sick of having to comm with you guys in email. Get a phone for Pete’s sake!!!!

Hi. I have the Nano and it looks like it doesn't come with a battery and the only way it can turn on is when it's attached to a charger. Because of this how do I attach it to my Ledger Live account on my Android phone? It doesn't have Bluetooth and when I plug it in while the ledger app is open the usb doesn't come on because I can't connect the charger and usb at the same time.

I lost all my BTT.. It said it was part of TRX. So I set up a Tron account on my new ledger nano s. I double checked the receive address. Sent it from the exchange to the correct address and it has been 3 days and still not appeared in the Tron account. I think it's safe to say it's gone. Be careful guys.
Try to always send a minimal amount as a test transaction first.

Hi. I just ordered my nano plus (directly from ledger). Setup was a brief and easy process. I have 2 questions: 1) the device is supposed to be able to store up to 100 apps. I have only installed 10 now and half of the 1.XX MB memory is already gone. How could you possibly get 100 on there? I know you can uninstall and install different apps, but that's why I didn't get the regular nano (so I don't have to)
2) I have some crypto on gemini, some on trustwallet and some on gemini. Obviously I bought the ledger to move the crypto to the device. I see you have instructions on your web site on how to transfer crypto from coinbase to the ledger. I'm assuming the process is the same for all 3 that I mentioned? Just want to know how everything works so i don't mess anything up. Thanks
Hi - you can surely install upto 100 apps, but this depends on the apps you're trying to install.
There are two different types of apps:
1. Stand-alone apps: These tend to be larger in size. Examples are Bitcoin and Ethereum.
2. Dependent apps: These are based on a stand-alone app and are therefore smaller in size. You can install many of them at the same time, stacking them.
Below are the different app combinations that can be installed on your Ledger device.
Installing only Bitcoin-dependent apps*: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Dash, Horizen, Komodo, Stratis, Peercoin, PIVX, Viacoin, Vertcoin, Stealth, Digibyte, Qtum, Bitcoin Private, Zcoin, GameCredits, Zclassic.
Installing only stand-alone apps*: Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Cardano, NEO.
Stand-alone and dependent apps*: Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, BCH, Litecoin, Binance Coin, Dash, ETC, ZEC
Regarding the process of transferring your funds from an exchange is pretty much the same as Coinbase. Just make sure to generate the receiving address in Ledger Live and select the correct network when sending your tokens. Also, we'd suggest sending a small test amount first.

Hi there, We’ll be happy to provide some information on this. All Ledger devices supports XRP crypto assets and you can surely transfer your XRP from different exchanges to Ledger. You simply need to install the XRP app on your Ledger device and create a new XRP account in Ledger Live. After that you can send your XRP from your exchanges to your Ledger XRP account. @@Ledger Doesn't the Ledger Nano s already have the software preinstalled (for the coins they list)...both the Ledger Live and the Ledger Nano s device? (I went to Ledger Live...and they listed a large number of coins that they said that their device supports...so doesn't that take care of it? Or are you saying - even if the coin is listed - you still have to install software and "create a new" (coin) account, both, for EACH COIN? That seems crazy. I hope I misunderstood you.

Bought the Nano Plus last year. Tiny buttons and too many button-clicks. Frustrating trying to build complex, secure PWs navigating through all the different character fields with click-click-clicks. Returned. Reconsidering NX today. Thanks to this video's frequent mentions of click-click-clicks I know this isn't the HW for me. We need far more competition in the HW space.

Hey there - the only real difference between the Nano S Plus and the Nano X is that the Nano X has a Bluetooth connection and an internal battery, while the Nano S Plus does not!

Hi Ledger can be confusing even for experiences users, but we'll do our best to explain how it works. You just need to switch on the device > set up your PIN > Write down the 24 words given by the Ledger device and store it safely and never share it with anyone else.

No Mac support?
The Nano S Plus works with desktop Mac devices - it doesn't work with iOS mobile devices (i.e iPhones).

That's how we designed the reward program - after the 30-day period you'll be able to claim the reward without an issue.
