100mm f2.8 seri E for 40$ is amazing. Fee with the body. Unbelievable

That 35-70 Canon FD in the background is a classic. Unfortunately the internal construction used rubber instead of teflon, so they all degrade. All Canon zooms have that weakness.
Two excellent lenses sir. I own the Canon.

I do like the 35-70 a lot. Really impressive zoom for its age

@@too_many_cameras I have owned three. The optics were so far ahead of their time, they continued to offer it re-packed in an nFD skin through 1986. I still have a mint copy of the nFD version. The zoom is ok, not loose and choppy like the first two I owned. I tested it against equally mint copies of the 28-85 F4, the 35-70 F4, and the 35-105 F3.5. My general conclusions- the 28-85 was the best optically, easily matching or beating the 35-105 every focal length. The 35-70 2.8-3.5 was better at F4 than the 28-85, equal starting at 5.6. The 35-70 F4 was solid, about the same as the 28-85 but distortion was really strong. Ultimately I kept the 28-85 and the 35-70 2.8, since I have two film bodies. I plan to have the lenses updated with Teflon fittings to keep them working well.
