Wow, I never thought a painting video would be so heartfelt and hit me so close to home because I also deal with infertility due to PCOS. So I totally get where you are coming from. It's definitely a blessing when it happens when you can finally say that you were able to carry a baby and be a mom. That's one of my goals in life. One day it'll happen. I haven't given up on faith yet nor do I plan on it.

Oh hunny.❤ my heart. Don’t give up.
My sister has PCOS, and she was able to have a baby. My niece is now 3 years old. Don't give up hope! Just relax, don't stress over it. Stress makes it more difficult to conceive, from what I've heard. It's only when some people stop trying hard for a baby that one actually comes along, or at least that's been the case for some of my family members. One couple were THIS close to adoption when it happened (no IVF at the time, I think), and they ended up with two daughters, a year apart!
I ordered these same ornaments from Amazon, and (after seeing your wood ornament painting video) I painted family ornaments for all my friends. I love handmade gifts - painted ornaments, cross stitch stuff, or even having my kiddos paint stuff for family, friends, and teachers!
I also love the meaning behind your cloud rainbow painting. I suffered a miscarriage before my first son, and it is still the toughest thing I've gone through. It was such a super blessing having my rainbow baby! 🌈
Also also, I've batched cross stitch patterns before so that I could have the same pattern design to give to family members. So efficient!
Recognising loss is such a noble thing to do as I have actually miscarried twins myself many years ago …to know someone else understands the way it feels makes me appreciate how to support others going through what I have gone through…xxx

Your content is amazing at helping me stop negative thought loops and look more on the brighter side of life.

I am not a painter so I have no paints or supplies. (Colored pencils are as far as I get) I wish that Arteza would have included paint and supplies with those wood slices. I was born with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, and I was born in Canada. The two things all Arthritis hates the most are damp and cold. Canada gets snow in the winter. Snow is both damp AND cold, so needless to say, my favourite season is summer too haha.

This was a lot of fun to watch. I was painting ornaments myself at the same time. Though mine are the traditional ball shape and abstract. I love how bright and colourful yours are. It's neat how your able to do so many styles. The blubble flies turned out really cute. I'm excited to get a tree this year it will be my first in my own place. I like the idea of changing decor with the seasons. My favourite season is winter. Don't really have a favourite candy.

The Elated ornament with the star is my favourite of the batch ♡.
They are all so fun! So favourite non-chocolate candy is Sour Patch Kids, but my favourite chocolate bar is Burnt Almond. And then I’m a fall fan myself! Minus the wasps.

These turned out so good! I especially love the bunny one. I am still painting my batch, also doing this every year. Last year I did eight, this year I am doing 18 and keep wondering what I've gotten myself into. 😂😂 But it is so much fun!

I too love painting wood slice ornaments and the cracking drives me nuts. I’ve had some huge cracks that have completely ruined some of my ornaments. So far I’ve found a coat of mod podge before hand helps. Love the moths btw 😀

These are so beautiful! Your blublefly creatures are so sweet and you should think about writing a childrens book about them. Maybe even a series of them and even stuffed animal ones to go with the book. I have followed you for a long time and I remember the first time I saw one it was maybe in a light bulb and it was like nighttime navy blue and it was sleeping or something like that and I thought wow these are so adorable and special and magical. Such a creative mind you have to come up with such adorable little creatures! Just throwing that out there about the book. Your so talented! The turned out really beautiful! I have painted on wooden slices, too. It was really fun. :) My favourite season is probably also Summer and my favourite candy... that's a hard one... probably Reeses Peanut butter cups or Bounty.

Great ornaments! I got two Arteza ornament wood slices in the 12-Day calendar and painted one of them so far. I like that they have holes pre-drilled so I don’t have to do it myself.

Just an idea if you put down gesso first that will create a barrier to anymore moisture seeping any further which will help with cracking

I don't eat a lot of candy these days, and I can't have the kind I truly love best (cuz I can't have chocolate).... but I have a real sweet tooth and LOVE candy.... so it's hard to pick ONE favourite.... but.... Caramels or wherther's original, are in the top 5.
My favourite Season was Winter, for most of my life, but in the last 5 years or so.... I think it's Fall, now.... because winter isn't like it used to be, and there's mostly only the "bad parts" about it, left..... but I still can't help but think it's BEAUTIFUL when everything is snow-covered.... and Summer has always been the one I like the least, because of the bugs and my allergies, and the heat.... But.... Summer, like every season has it's pros and cons.

Trivia question: Would using some sort of gesso or ground potentially keep the wood from cracking? Although I agree with you I think the cracking gives it natural charm. Like old-fashioned back In the olden days. :-).

When you showed your hot chocolate on camera I genuinely thought that you had managed to get paint in your cup and I was thinking 'that's so relateable, I get paint absolutely everywhere when I paint too!' and then you were like "I added sprinkles!" 😂 😂 😂
My favorite candy is one that is NOT available in Belgium … peanutbutter m&m’s . We have them in like ‘geek’stores or stores with international foods but it’s like $ 7for a small bag so totally not worth it for more than once a year
The moths are such pretty colors. What kind of paint and what colors did you use?
So weird, I have literally just started to do this exact same thing! I did a mini snow scene to practice with and then I painted some of them completely white apart from the edges. I also ordered some clear gesso so that I could try to keep some of the wood visible.
I haven't finished the video yet so sorry if you cover this but I just wanted to ask, what do you do on the back of the ornaments or do you just leave them blank and that's where you can see the wood texture?
Since I am new, I am unsure of what a blubblfly (sorry if I butchered it) actually is, but they seem like very gentle and adorable little creatures. ^^

This year I’m skipping Christmas/new year holidays, going through a very hard time so not worth to just be ‘happy’ and pretend I’m fine. Also no decorations or Christmas tree, but that’s something I skipped already 2 years in a row and not missing it
