Hi Karissa! Just wanted to say - I love this fresh format for a cruise vlog. Nobody is doing videos like this where they show in-depth reviews of all restaurants on these ships with this level of production/quality. This was so informative and honestly something that can help change someone's experience for the better on these ships when time is so finite on shorter cruises. Please make this into a series on other ships! The cruise community would follow so quickly on a format like this!
First time watching Karissa's vlog and I agree with you about the format. I normally watch Travel Tourist Videos and I love the way they format their videos as well, first showing stills of the various buffet items for each night and then doing the different tastings/reviews.
I would love to go on a food tour with Karissa she eats at the coolest places and she truly enjoys food...I can dig it

Your videos are awesome. I have serious sensory issues around eating and would in no way be able to try many of the foods you try. By watching your positive reactions, I am slowly working to convince my brain that I won't actually die if I try a small amount of certain foods. I appreciate you for that. I truly appreciate that even foods you don't like, you find something positive to remark on. "At least it looked pretty" or whatever.

Hey Karissa, one note the first thing you are I don’t think it was cheesy bread, it looks like it’s on Dutch crunch bread. Dutch Crunch bread is a white bread but topped with a rice flour coating that bakes up incredibly crisp and crackled.

German speaker here, Kummelweck, as it looks like, derives from the words Kümmel and Wecken. Kümmel is caraway seeds (it looks like there are some on there) and Wecken is a dialect word for a special kind of Bun or Bread Roll that we eat here.
Seems as if a Kümmel Wecken was then shortened and americanised to Kummelweck. I guess because it's from that Deli it is of jewish or jiddish descent?

Its a morel mushroom and they are delicious! They can be found in the woods in my area and if you bread them (like fried chicken) you can fry them and they are the best snack!

My husband and I are looking at cruises with an eye on the food possibilities being one factor. I really hope they have options other than chili, or chocolate. I like variety in my flavors, not just spice to cover them up or chocolate to wash them down. Glad you had a good time!

On the roast beef sandwich those are caraway seeds! It’s like a play on one of the favorite samdwiches from a place called a Pit beef sandwich from Baltimore! The play on your sandwich is to mirror the Beef on Weck. It’s a salted pretzel bun with caraway seeds on it. And supposedly really excellent. The place hasn’t changed it recipe for this is over 60 years if not longer, but Pit Beef is truly a thing of wonder, I have heard! So, if you ever go to Maryland, and Baltimore specifically, get a beef on weck and compare! Oh, and you blew this cruise food narrative OUT OF THE WATER!!
