- I was not familiar with the Bergara B-14 rifle until just a couple years ago. If you are not familiar with Bergara rifles you will want to see this rifle in action. One of the best sub $1000 hunting rifles I have shot. Here is my review of the Bergara B-14 Ridge Wilderness rifle.

Just picked up a b14 Hunter in 7-08 this summer. Shot a nice buck with it here in New York on Saturday at a little over 300 yards. Love the rifle!

I just recently picked up the Ridge in 300 Winchester magnum. It’s been cold here so haven’t had it out. Though I have been able to pick up all of my reloading supplies for it. Needless to say I’m looking forward to a bit warmer temperatures.

Edit: this video convinced me to get in the jeep and go buy this rifle in 308. On the way now. Thanks for helping make up my mind.
@@TheCommonPatriot had to order it in, but it arrives tomorrow and my Arken SH4 Gen2 gets here on Tuesday. The only question now is.....how to convince the wife not only that I needed a new hunting rifle, but also that it needs to be quiet.

I got 2 of them now. I got a 6.5 Creedmoor in a Greyboe stock and bottom metal and just got a 6.5 PRC today.
My 6.5 Creedmoor shoots them in A 1 hole group with Hornady match ammo I just hope my PRC does as well

I no longer have it. My neighbor fell in love with it and had to have it. Still have the Creedmoor, and I will be buried with it LOL 😆 it's the most accurate rifle I've ever owned.

I have the same model in 6.5 prc. My only thing I don't like is the mag doesn't cycle well with those flat shouldered cartridges. 6.5 creed probably wouldn't see that problem. Also, could NOT get the factory hornady ammo to shoot well out of it. Reloads are good though
@@TheCommonPatriot the 6.5 prc is kind of a reloaders cartridge anyway, not very many factory options. At least I got the brass. Its a great gun now that I've got some pet loads for it.
The art of firing a rifle at a good few clicks away without the support of a bench, a tree, or some means of support seems to be a lost art. I'd say in these examples, the weight of a gun comes to advantage rather than detriment. Weight/inertia damps out motion, but it's more fatiguing on muscles as well. There's positions to use that takes advantage of the human skeletal support and doesn't require muscle steadiness (which they never really are fully) to make a clean shot.
