  • Joe Mazzulla said Jayson Tatum is fine and that he doesn't think Caleb Martin's foul on Tatum at the end of Game 1 was intentional. Mazzulla also discussed how a different Heat team will come into Game 2 and that Boston has to be ready to increase its physicality. Mazzulla also reacted to no Celtics winning postseason awards.

    Joe and the players are doing it right. Give Miami no bulletin board material. Keep it all about basketball/business.

      @@tylerriley2587 Joe was placed in a tough situation last season. If Ime is coaching the Celtics, they win the chip. Joe learned from last season and you have to give Brad props for seeing what Miami did to beat Boston last season. They copied what GS did, but used the zone to stymie the offense. Now, Miami has to pick their poison because if they go zone, do you run the risk of getting shot out the gym. Do you go man, and let the Celtics walk to rim because Bam cannot leave KP alone like he could Rob or Smart. The biggest thing that makes Boston better is that Al comes off the bench and he is not being asked to produce like a starter against the Heat.

    Why is anybody surprised. I remember hearing the coach from Miami Heat saying that his players are very crafty. Well they did the same move to Gianni's last year and they took him out in the first game then they did the same stuff to his back then poking the Knicks center eye out then in the Eastern conference championship I saw a foot move underneath Tatum's foot and he basically popped his ankle. Isn't that interesting the most dirtiest players I've ever seen and I thought I've seen everything with a bad boys of Detroit. This is from some who played ball at The Cage and Rucker Park in NYC. Go Celtics!

    In my opinion the NBA should come down harder with penalties on dirty play type fouls if it wants to preserve its best players.

    Not intentional, but reckless. That's how the Heat play. They're not gonna outright punch you and stomp on your chest like Draymond, but they are gonna play physical even if it means putting players in dangerous situations. It's why I hate whenever these teams play, the Heat tend to always get someone hurt. Whether it's themselves, or opponent.

    • @jowallprieto7727
      @jowallprieto7727 Před měsícem +2

      How was it reckless??? It was a player running to get an offensive board, getting pushed at mid circle into a different direction causing a collision. So nobody should chase their own miss in the NBA or try and go get an offensive rebound. Got it.

    • @L2DG
      @L2DG Před měsícem +2

      Jesus man, you have people that are actually in the league, professionals, athletes and coaches that dispute any foul play or intentionality, yet you still choose to push a skewed and biased narrative to uphold. Basketball is a contact sport, if the players aren't being soft, why is their fanbase being soft?

      @@jowallprieto7727 Lol the fact you think that light touch by Jrue was enough to launch Martin in a different direction and at that speed. Says it all.

    • @xMaGuSx888
      @xMaGuSx888 Před měsícem

      @@L2DG I said it was reckless. At no point did I say it was intentional or foul play. I am not pushing any narrative other than the fact they play reckless. Because they do.
      They're not trying to hurt you, as in diving into your ankles with the intent to hurt, or intentionally throwing elbows, but they will absolutely hustle in a way that gets players hurt. It's happened repeatedly. Look at their track record of injuring other teams. It's not great.
      Martin had no chance at that rebound, he was coming from the 3 pt line, he wasn't watching where he was going, and ran full speed into a player who was already in their spot under the basket for 2-3 seconds before he got there.
      There is a reason plays like this don't happen every game. You can't just truck guys. This isn't hockey.

    • @jowallprieto7727
      @jowallprieto7727 Před měsícem +1

      @@xMaGuSx888 Yes, it was from behind, doesn't require much force to shift your balance, have you watched the overhead camera, and pause the moment Jrue pushed him, and his feet and hips completely change direction. The ball was still in the air, there was a gap and nobody was boxing him out, he had all intentions to go for the rebound. Choosing to die on this hill is ok, will agree to disagree.
