After Effects Halftone Animation with Card Dance Simulation | No Plugin

In this tutorial, i want to share an alternative way of creating an animated halftone effect, as the regular halftones method may consume more CPU’s and sometimes
not effective when you want to change the graphics or the animations.
this method i find very versatiile as it got many interesting
possible outcome when you understand the fundamentals. so make sure to follow along!

Thank you, I tried step by step twice, checking everything, and the adjustment layer doesn’t work. I end up with a perfect grid of circles without animation. Could it be a version issue with AE? I have the latest one. Could you share the source file? thanks a lot!

i found that if you change the settings on the card dance effect for Gradient 1 from Source to Effects and Masks, the adjustment layer should work
