@Mitch and Tom. Hey guys, I'm a sub and have been watching the channel for a long time. This is one of my favorite videos you have done! It's a cool reality check that even guys that are as skilled and as seasoned as you guys are and with the resources you have at the end of the day you are just truly hard core fisherman and get just as emotional about it as the rest of us! Loved the "hunt"! Hard work pays off!
I’d say you made the best out of the minimal ice we had when you guys were filming everything. The direction the editing has gone in the last year or so and top notch. Things are really freezing fast here in northern Minnesota, looking forward to first ice content. P.S. Mille Lacs is freezing well, still open in the middle but a week of cold weather and we’ll be on the flats

Saw a couple guys out front of the vfw dock on White Bear Lake yesterday morning which is hilarious after seeing a boat out last weekend on Bald eagle lake just up the road.

This was a great video, I am not an ice fisherman, but I am interested in the locations used and the progression that is used to find and catch fish.
Not a lot of people do the recon of early ice lakes. It’s refreshing to see it. I usually use dnr maps/fish surveys to find decent numbers then go glass em.
I like the style. I had to laugh though, 2 days and one fish. Success is a matter of perspective. Well done in meeting your goal!

I live in Southern Nebraska and consider it lucky if we get a two week window of fishable ice on the smaller bodies of water. Ice fishing has gotten really popular in the last ten years or so, but it usually means a trip to So-Dak, No-Dak or Minn to find safe and drivable ice. (I'm old and broke down so my sled dragging days are over.)

Hey your up in the Bemidji area, If you have never fished the Detroit Lakes area I highly suggest it we have some great fishing in this area and there are hundreds of lakes to pick from and right now some of the smaller ones have a decent amount of ice.

Fished the east side of Mille Lacs yesterday, 3-4” but there’s still some work to do out there. If we don’t get snow it’ll be some solid ice

Videos like this make me realize how weird Colorado is for ice fishing. We've had safe ice for quite a while now. Well over a foot in a few lakes if you're willing to go over 10,000 ft and hike a few miles, but down on the front range where the elevation is 5000 ft we're probably a month out from safe ice. As much as I love trout I can't wait till the options with other species open up. I get bored of trout and want to catch some walleye, crappie, and perch.

Love watching real videos. Nice to just not click and see nothing but catching fish... thats not real. I know from videos i try to make, from time to time, i can film 10 videos before i actually catch somthing. that being said. Every once in a while is the key. Cuz I will say that watching people catch fish gets me pumped for the season. But the video you just put out... it's the reality of early ice.

I was wondering what lake you guys are fishing?
I did a little sleuthing and can't say for sure but when he was talking to his buddy on the phone his buddy said Norway Lake. Tom said, “about an hour southwest”. There are 4 Norway lakes in Minnesota. If you look at the video, as he's talking to his buddy on the phone, at 10:47 he is going past a billboard advertising Alsager Meats. Google says Alsager Meats is in Audubon, MN. There is a Norway Lake in Ottertail county not too far from Audubon and I would bet money that's where they are.

A Pro Fishing Tip......You Should Make A Upgrade To A Chevy Truck 🤗😎......you will often see Amish Buggies passing ford's 😅😂🤣😭
Lol new chevys are junk I've got a 2001 chevy I love it but if I get a new truck it would be a ford with the 5.0 or Dodge hemi. But I've heard the 1/2 ton chevy with the diesel is the best 32 mpg and flat runs.
