Lucky enough to have picked up an E class at Stuttgart and a C class at Bremen to drive back to the UK. Both trips included a factory tour before handover. Both trips were mind blowing, amazing! I don’t think these factory handovers are available now for UK buyers - shame.
Whether you like BMW, Mercedes or not, their productions are always worthwhile to see. I saw the production of the mid size BMW 3 in Munich. Visitors are allowed. I loved my C-Class, cause it never let me down. It´s the other way round with my Renault Megane. Shouldn´t have bought it.
I am always amazed by the people who design the machinery and processes for making a car such as this one. The final product is awesome, but the way the assembly process is put together is something that amazes me a lot.
Thank you for sharing this sum of beautiful human talents with us. Mercedes-Benz gave a shake-down on its own, and is surprising us with products that cause us great sensations.

I really want to take the new C400 (when it arrives) a spin. The 3.0 V6TT should be a blast. Those headlights are beautiful; Mercedes has managed to make a multi-LED headlamp that doesn't look like a Spider staring in your face. (*cough*ACURA*cough*) Nicely done. I have reserved opinions on the "bolted-on" infotainment screen vs. the older facelift W204 built-in unit though.
That smile and the signing off they have at the end, is the smile I will have as I'm putting pen to paper to get my own C-class..that being said, GOD help me a PhD student own my own Mercedes C-class

This assembly plant is in Kecskemet, Hungary. Been here a few times last year, It's huge and Daimler is currently expanding, so it's gonna be even bigger. Currently The C and A class vehicles are made here with the exception of the engines, that come here in pieces, but everything else is made here.
