  • How can you make a Miniature Village using a Rotten CABLE REEL? DIORAMA Village.
The BIG one, I've spent months on getting this one ready for you so I do hope you like this one, It even includes a real water fountain! its a HUGE Rotten cable reel that I've had laying around in my garden for years! I finally decided to make something with it and turned into a magical Diorama! I have to say it does look so amazing! Yes I know I'm blowing my own trumpet as always but I really did enjoy making this one, it just looks so fascinating, I will do some more of these and maybe next time smaller and set in resin maybe? What do you think? Let me know your thoughts on this and if you like it and want to see more. Also please could you help me out and share this one for me folks it really does help me and the channel. Thank you and enjoy x

It was as if you were a young lad constructing your wonder world , you let your imagination run riot and what you finished up with was absolutely outstanding ; thank you Nick ; that was simply brilliant . - Michael from Australia.

I LOVE this so much! When my daughter was growing up we made magnificent dioramas for school projects. It was so much fun & we loved the challenge. My favorite was of a native american village with teepee's, fires with cooking pots over them, a river with native kids fishing, women with babies in papooses, men hunting buffalo with bow & arrows, old folks making pottery, etc. It was freaking EPIC! The teachers always asked to keep them for display because of how good they were🤗

1:32 It was at this exact moment that I realized the little brown things weren't bits of wood kicked up by vibration. We can see at 22:29 that they love their new environment! In my culture, a generation or two ago, we crafted stuff from mud and straw, and wove baskets. If an insect walked over them while we were working on the stuff, it was taken as a good omen, a sign that we were properly using what we had taken from nature to repurpose for our survival. I'm loving every bit of this video. Had to edit my comment once I reached the end... outstanding result! The gnomes are adorable. Thanks for letting us wander a while in your fantasy world.

I had a friend in the mid seventies who had one of those cable spools (found it left behind after the power co. ran new lines after a big storm). He covered the top (top & underside) and bottom (topside only) discs in old tie-dye shirts and painted the drum with black light (fluorescent) paint. Used it as a party/card table. May coats of clear varnish to protect it. For all I know, he may still have it. I have so many memories, and let's face it ... some nights I don't remember, of the times we spent around that table.

Oh what a wonderful world you have created for anyone with an imagination to enjoy. I love the log lights, and all the little men. Cable drums are used for tables in the USA for tables in the garden or the Man cave or Woman cave for that matter.

Such a delightful fairy cottage for the garden! Great fun. I have a friend who spent years on a project like this in his 20 hectare Woodley. Complete with solar powered lights throughout. It was truely magical.

If you've got moss on the roof, you need to weather the house walls and sprinkle it with moss too 😁
