I love the Specials’ honesty and the way they cut through all the bull that the rest of us weigh ourselves and our relationships down with. If we “non-specials” removed all the extra drama, the emotional games we impose on each other, our constant need to feed our egos and the judging we like to say we don’t use, our lives would be much simpler and happier. We could learn a lot from these beautiful people and their capacity to love and accept others in the purest sense. Thank you for making me rethink things. I needed it.

I absolutely love this series and the glimpse it gives into these special individuals lives..it feels like a privilege to get the opportunity to know them a little better...thankyou very much for that...special needs is very close to my heart but by profession my work is with horses..I have to say that the lady with the horses (Louis's mom I think) knows her horses very,very well and is outstanding at imparting her knowledge when working with them in a way that is easy to understand for anyone...calm but also spot on! I'm so impressed with this real life series...if it isn't recieving serious recognition then it ought to be! My life and heart is definitely better off for what has been put together here. Well done and best wishes to all concerned !👍💜👏🌈

Wonder why the support worker won't let Hilly wear her dressing gown. What's wrong with having dinner in that. If i wasn't in the mood to get dressed and someone tells me I'm not having dinner in a dressing gown I'd say " I don't feel like getting dressed " poor Hilly ❤
My mother never let us come to the table not dressed. When she got older I did the same thing to her and the funny thing is I also did the same thing to one of my roommates who wanted to come to the table after I spent an hour cooking dinner in her bra and underwear and I’m like I’m sorry I’m not looking at this! Now my mom and I would bring each other food in our bedroom and be OK with that

Sam has taught me the power of being yourself. He has taught me that it's better to be happy and cheerful than aspiring to be a badman. Meghan has taught me the value of being able to articulate speech. Not compromising on values and expectations and also that there are still modest, classy women out there in this world of western culture. Lewis has taught me the art of stoicism. When the one you want doesn't want you, don't dwell and self sabotage, keep keeping on.
