These two gentlemen were very gracious during this video. It can't be easy to admit the country you grew up in and the military you selflessly served is actually underpowered. Much respect!
Selfless service is probably the wrong term in this case. ...very wrong, considering they certainly wouldn't be alive now, if they had refused.

I think we really have to be more careful with how we talk about geopolitical conflicts. For example, North Korea isn't our enemy; the Kim regime is. North Koreans are the primary victims of the Kims. Same with Xi, Putin, etc.

Nothing, actually. That's as good as it gets. There's no "secret weapons" or anything. Even the stealth program wasn't all that secret when they started it back in the 60's. They just kept the actual tech under wraps. But it wasn't as if one couldn't find out it was going on. It's like that myth about Area 51. There is a variant of the AGM-114 Hellfire missile, nicknamed "flying Ginsu", known as a AGM-114R9X, that has no explosive warhead. As the 'Ginsu' name suggests, it has a number of blades that pop out right before target impact. The lack of explosive warhead is meant to reduce collateral damage to unintended victims. For this weapon to be successful, it needs to be very VERY accurate. The blades are close to between 40 to 80 centimeters in length, which is also an indicator of how accurate it needs to be. This weapon has been successfully deployed, a number of terrorists have been eliminated by this missile.
@@vinak963 As a pure kinetic impact weapon, it would be limited to the diameter of the missile itself, plus the small stubby fins of the particular generation of the device. This would require precision to a few centimeters for a guaranteed kill. Adding the blades greatly increases the kill range without explosives by introducing grievous bodily trauma. They carry between 4 to 8 blades, depending on mod. There are images floating on the internet, that show what they do to a car's roof & unfortunate passenger within. With so much North Korean attention focused on the USA as the Big Bad wolf, I've often wondered which idea North Koreans would find most disturbing:
a. America's vast military advantage, or
b. The fact that Americans don't think about North Korea much at all.
Americans do not feel hatred forward North Korea. If anything we feel sad for North Koreans who live their lives under such a dreary system.
If anything, we hear the bickering between our leaders and theirs and roll our eyes. I know I have no hate for them, and like you said, I honestly never think about them until I hear some report on the news, and then I go back to thinking about other more immediately important things.
Their leaders just say we hate them, so they can justify the awful things they put the people of N. Korea through. If I could have a pen pal there, I would love exchanging cultural views and such. Such a shame.

They cancelled the "super gun" deciding it was overkill and cost too much. They decided to put the money into improving the existing Paladin mobile Howitzer. The Paladin isn't a slouch, it doesn't have the range, but it's plenty accurate. It can fire three shells at different trajectories (angles) and with different powder charges and all three shells will land within a 100 meter circle at the same time. The super gun was supposed to be able to fire 5 shells the same way. it used a liquid propellant instant of powder bags, much like a gasoline car engine. Everything was automatic. They would enter the coordinates into the firing computer which also used the weather data and calculate for the rotation of the Earth. The autoloader would open the breech, load a shell, close the breech, propellant would be injected into the chamber, fired, and then the barrel would be lowered or raised and a new shell loaded and a new amount of propellant injected. It was faster than the Paladin, but they're working on installing the shell autoloader in the Paladin but it will still use bags of powder loaded by the crew with some mechanical assistance.
If the US really needed a artillery piece like the "super gun" they could literally just buy the Panzerhaubitze2000 from Rheinmetall. Buying can be more efficient than developing a own system that is pretty much the same. Since the US are already producing under license of Rheinmetall (for example the gun barrel for the Abrams tanks) they could easily produce the Panzerhaubitze2000 under official license.

The laser can be use as a weapon in space station though. Because bullets won't work in space
He was so right the amazing part of the laser is traveling at the speed of light and also the accuracy. There’s no wind or rotation of earth or evasive maneuvers that affect there laser whether AI or human controlled , put the bullseye on the target and push the fire button and instant hit, they’re finding in testing on the Zumwalt that the “AI” targeting /firing automated system is 100% the way to go, it’s able to process like the F35 super computer over 12 BILLION tasks PER SECOND!!! That’s target position, direction, trajectory, speed , weapon type, where it need to hit to kill, where was it fired from , where’s the trajectory taking it, there’s 6 tasks with the ability to process 11,999,999,994 additionally per second! It does NOT miss and hits the exact position of the target intended every time in a split second. Compared to a human operating there’s u fortunately no chance to compete. The AI controlled laser is being developed for the Spectre gunship/Hercules AC130J for the Air Force, a mount for the army’s helicopters and APC fighting vehicles as well as the OshKosh JLTV, base protection (an iron dome of sorts that can take out hand grenades in air when automated ) I love tho thst it can be 100% effective without killing anyone, for jets and helicopters they aim for the engine below the rotor or jets it’s the nose where most the radar and computer sit , disabled a car or boat by destroying the outboard motor or a car IEDs engine, all scenarios allow a pilot or driver to eject or egress . Hopefully they count their blessings and flee for good but we will likely see them returning again and again knowing they can live but the laser can kill humans or on low setting blind them instantly, damage nerve endings and burn. Let’s jsut stay away from war.
There is atmospheric distortion that can render it very difficult to hit with a clean focal point. Let alone clouds that ~1000nm range lasers are not transparent to.

I’m from the U.K. and when my brother told me that when ours and US tanks shoot at a target there is no explosive in the shell. It just pierces the tank and blows up its explosives. Means that there is no explosive to blow up in our tanks. What a great idea.
No you have that wrong I think he means there are two types of ammo like AP (armor piercing) and HE (high explosive) what burns to blow up tanks what you are thinking would be the ammo (gun powder) so it would still blow up and or it’s just training rounds that your brother was talking about which I don’t know about
Even considering training rounds 80%of the round is super flammable after the round is shot only two small pieces remain. The bottom which stays in the tank and the projectile. The entire middle is highly flammable.
I wonder if they've seen the movie Act Of Valor. The actors in the film are actual US Navy SEALs.
According to IMDB, active duty SEALs. One of the reasons the movie took so long to make was the "actors" still had to go on real life deployments. The credits do not even reveal the full names of the actors.

@@Magezzz It's certainly not the greatest acting or writing. However, the scenes where they are doing missions are absolutely exhilarating. Worth a view for that reason alone.
It always helps that our military budget is more than the next 10 countries combined or something like that.
And so why does NK keep trying to "Poke the Bear"????? Stop trying to poke the bear and everything will be fine! Lol
I like how the soldiers are basically saying “yea they can pretty much obliterate us in 1 minute”
Yep plus they have more than a million soldiers
We just lost in Afghanistan North Korea would be even worse
@@fashgordon817 America wouldn't need to send troops on the ground. They will destroy N Korea with missiles. That's the new era of warfare.
@@fashgordon817 Afghanistan is very different the north koreans or anyone for that matter would be nothing like pashtuns they are tribal men (literally) with Kalashnikovs coming from their own gun markets.
@@fashgordon817 Plus the Americans never really did a full fledged war they just fought against the Al Qaeda if Americans really wanted to they could have easily defeated the Taliban but they didn't want to they just stayed there to counter the russians cause if USA left there would be a void so they didn't want to leave but then sooner or later they had to so they did and now those who are jealous of the US have a reason to believe US lost even though they got everything they came for.
