You can see it on nebula path. The classes that under cloth armor jobs are mage,sage,priest, apprentice. Plate armor jobs are crusader,knight, blacksmith. Leather armor jobs are rogue, assassin,monk. Light armor jobs are bard/dancer,hunter,alchemist. You can either upgrade to deal dmg against those armors or you can upgrade to reduce dmg against those armors.

The armor types is applicable to the Nebula Path and Guild skills. Different classes where different armor types and you will deal more or will have a reduced damage coming from these classes.
