    I break down and answer common questions about applying for the Jamaican TRN including why you need one, what's required, and how to get it no matter where you live!
    *Correction - you do not need a TRN to send money to Jamaica, only to receive it if you're in JA.

      @@AshFiMon actually I filled the form online, printed, signed and sent the documents from Nigeria on 1st September 2023 to taxpayers office at Kingston 4. Our postal services (NIPOST) synonymous with the US postal agency delayed and it took two months for the documents to get to Jamaica, on the 24 Nov 2023 the taxhelp advised taxpayers registration office is in possession of the documents I sent and on the 18th Dec 2023 Taxhelp advised of the 9 digit TRN and will dispatch of the physical card on a later date. Question.
    First, thanks for the info. I did some research and you confirmed. The only thing i would like to know is. Im going back to JA at the end of aug. Im a u.s. Citizen.. Do you think its faster to do it in person to at least get the number or mail it, first class? 08/01/22

    • @AshFiMon
      @AshFiMon  Před 2 lety

      If you're not in a rush, I would wait to get the number. They will give it to you on a letterhead same day you apply in person. Mailing it is another option, but I'm wondering how long it'll take to mail your application and for them to process it within the next few weeks before you go down.
      Before you make one last final decision, I would contact TAJ to triple check on their processing times for mailed in applications so you'll have a clearer idea on what to do. I know they respond to DMs on Facebook. Hope this helps!
