I assume the smell will go away over time. Overall, I love this cute little blender. The extra cups and lids are great too!
i used to make really thick smoothie bowls with a cheap blender but it was way too time consuming it took like 20 minutes so I finally invested in a vitamix and its so much smoother and takes literally 2 minutes

I use a $12 blender that my mom bought from a garage sale (actual price is about $15-20) and it makes perfectly thick and smooth smoothies.

I've had my Oster for years and I've used it to make thicc mixed drinks, smoothies and my favorite texmex avocado verde sauce which I like to make extra thiccc. Of all the blenders I've had over the years it's been the best and decimates large ice cubes with ease. Oster is a great brand.
yeah..I have a blendtec, and always the oster make the job better...yes I must be the only person with a blendtec who does not blend...the oster never failed me

I have basically the same blender. Mine was $20 at walmart, and I do make your guys smoothie bowls all the time.
It dose take time and patience. Alot of scraping, and pushing, but it gets the job done. Push bottons and all lol. Thanks so much ladies.

Yep I just use a blender that is used for making like juices like the one where you get the cup and hold it down.
@@faizah1 Oh cool! I don't exactly know what mine is made for but I'm guessing its made for chopping up veggies quicker but it still works just as fine! Its like a tamper but the blade is at the bottom so you push it down while it chops up the fruit!

I just read some articles put out by health departments in New Zealand and Ireland warning about microorganisms (like viruses and bacteria) that have caused outbreaks and illnesses, from imported frozen berries, especially but not exclusively imported strawberries.
One solution is to buy berries grown in countries like Canada and USA. Another solution is to boil them briefly, or hold them at 185°F for one minute. Rinsing is not really effective.
Thought you might be interested, since frozen berries are used a lot in smoothies and smoothie bowls - and since many of the frozen berries in the stores these days come from Mexico, China, Peru and other countries where the sanitation and food handling practices are not as safe.

Jessica I get where ur trying to go with this, but some people don’t have money, not saying I don’t, but like it’s called manners, they don’t have to call it cheap, on the friggin title, it says cheap blender, like for what?! it’s stupid, and it just annoys me that they did that.
I have done frozen fruit with yoghurt in a food processor. It comes out thick and smooth, but no swirl.
Tip: maybe don’t add all the fruit at once, do little by little. :)

@@hs6106 yes that exactly what happens to mine if I barely put any water, it does not blend. If I put in any more than that it goes totally liquid!
I was wondering if you guys could test out a black and decker food processor? Because thats what I make my smoothie bowls in and their always pretty watery and I only put 1/4 cup of liquid
I think you have to really use frozen fruits because I used to do mine and they were watery even with adding a bit of water. Idk

With a blender that doesn’t have the tamper you can remove the clear bit at the top to make a hole the. You can stick it in.
Since I don’t have a vita mix blender I have a ninja and a blender like this but it is really different. But could you have taken the clear top off and but the tamper in and mash the fruit or was it to small? I use a medal straw as my “ tamper” and it works like a smoothie tamper
I think you take out the clear cover on the
lid for the blender and use a rolling pin or something else

Total Time: 5 mins
ingredients...
3 cups frozen pineapple
1 can coconut cream
method...
Place all ingredients in your blender. Blend until smooth and thick consistency. If you don’t have a high powered blender, make sure to put fresh ingredients at the bottom along with the liquid to help blend easier! Pour or Scoop into your favourite jar/bowl and ENJOY!
