Using a GameGenie Code that replaces Leonardo with Karai for the Tournament setting. This is on level 7, Hi-Mode 1. My lord is she fucking CHEAP.
She's practically unbeatable if you get somebody that halfway knows what the fuck they're doing.
For this little playthrough, for the most part the 1st Round is "Fighting Fair" with Karai, and the 2nd is......well you'll see.

Went looking for Karai clips because they’re adding Karai to Shredder’s Revenge and recognized they modelled her moveset after her tournament fighters version.
The bosses were intended to be used in versus mode. That's why they have a movelist and alternate colors. There's a well known game code to unlock them that's been around since the 90s... and it's not even the hacking codes either.. it's a normal code..
April: So what are you gonna do with all the money you won?
Karai: Open an arena and host a brand new tournament to get more money.
April: Wonderful! You’ll host and own your 1st very own tournament.
Karai: 1st? Who do you think runs this one?
April: 😳
Damn, karai was a straight monster. And this game brings me great memories as a kid, playing with my cousins. And Armaggon all laid out is hilarious 1:45
Congrats Karai, you beat...yourself? To touch on how OP Karai is, playable character or not, its nice when you see a final boss actually live up to the "Final Boss" name. Especially in older games,

Wow, overpowered characters can be hilarious sometimes but wtf Karai seemed SO overpowered it isnt even fun.

Understand, however, that she ain't made-up; she's straight from the original comics. I think something had happened to Shredder-dead or near so.

@krispearman I've thought about that too. You can't actually access her or Rat King in any other mode, (unless you use a game genie code as I did here), but Versus, and that's only with a cheat code. But given that she has her own dialogue, as does the Rat King, I can only imagine they originally planned for her to be in the game, but later decided to nix that due to her INCREDIBLE POWE...cheapness.

Ohhh I remember in the original SNES console, if you turned on and off and on and off the console with the game inside at least 10 times super fast, you could unlock her and rat king. I remember me and my dad would fight each other with those two overpowered characters and it usually came down to the first one who made a mistake would lose.

Actually the voltage overload would only "enable" all the 5 input codes this game has. But it doesn't work on all cartridges. I know because I tried it and it never worked for me.

Good point, never connected to that design, just her fighting that is both brute and weird; the floating raining punches attack always made me think jetpack android with mechanical arms

@Matthew Gudino Well, in the 2012 version, yes, but in the 2003 one, she was Shredder's adopted daughter. I don't know about the original comics, but I think the 2003 one was based off them, and Splinter is a mutated rat there, and not a person who was transformed into a rat.

Mirror Match round 1 was when I found interest in this video again. It was boring up until then. But that was amazing! Too bad round two didn't go the same route, though. Muy triste.

The thing i don't get is just... if she was never intended as a selectable character then:
A) Why did they give her a moveslist unless the code just gives her leo's
B) Why did they give her an alternate colour pallette ? Or does the CPU sometimes use that in story/Tournament mode?
Judging by how cheap she is it makes sense they never intended for her to be unlocked though :P

combo ability makes me think of going super saian(idk how to spell it)... I also find it is kinda funny that you do better on your first runs fighting fair then your 2nd runs, sometimes (at least in the point category).

The creators of this game took Karai's hulky and musculin appearance from original comics, where she was a step daughter of Shredder and his descendant, without this 2012's crap with Yoshi. Think what you're writing about, simpleton.
