Mindfulness Meditation & My Battle With Anxiety

  • This week, 10th-16th May 2021 is mental health awareness week in the UK. This video is about my ongoing battle with anxiety and how I use mindfulness living and meditation to help ease my struggle. Mindfulness meditation has completely changed my life and if I can encourage others who are struggling with mental health problems to give meditation a try, I'm convinced it will provide some relief. It is not a quick fix, and it isn't easy, but for me and so many others, the results are incredible.

    Also, the book 'The Worry Trick' by David A. Carbonell really helped me by offering an alternative approach to dealing with anxiety.

    What a beautiful, powerful, vulnerable video. Thank you for sharing that with the world, I needed it today. As someone who has also battled with anxiety for years (particularly since the pandemic), I also do mindfulness meditation (and guided/walking meditations) - daily where possible. Likewise meditation has become an essential part of my daily routine and I really notice the difference if I miss a day or so.
    There is still such a stigma around mental health awareness (especially with men), and the only way things will improve is if open discourse is encouraged 💕
