These are Nitro powered 1/8th scale buggies. I believe Ty is driving a Hot Bodies Lightning D812. As for where to get these? You usually have to order these, though you sometimes will see them in stock at a hobby store. You can get them ready-to-run out of the box, but the ones seen in this video are all kits.

Leyvitt Rodriguez All of those are decent to top-end brands except Duratrax. Personally, I'm a Losi guy myself. Out of the brands you've listed, however, I'd say that Serpent is the most advanced brand in terms of engineering techniques., while Kyosho is the most proven brand.
All these you mention are top notch..many would argue each brand to be best but one that you mention traxxas is not in this type of racing but they do make the fastest rc out of the box but its a on road car that will do 100mph..as for these others you mention are all kit cars that do not come with the engine so when you buy it you decide what engine and how fast you want....

Kyosho is pretty much the top standard in the industry, as some of the other cars even use their parts, but most of the buggys are pretty fast.

PKpopdU Kyosho is overpriced and has poor parts support. I would not choose one that's for sure.

theres a pit lane, you just dont always see them pit for gas. It's a very fast pit.
