    Hi Henry. Yes, its a very well built and strong machine, and for the price, its worth every penny.

    I'm in Pennsylvania. Our leaf here makes the stuff from our south look and taste like weeds. LOL! We have about 110 acres and grow and dry our own. The only thing we buy are the filter tubes. We started out small with a machine shredder very similar to this one! This one looks great!

      I would love to sample some of your leaf sometime. Would also make an interesting video too.

    I expect the shredder won't last too long using power tools to turn it like that, i have a fishing reel type one and i find the shredding quite theraputic and don't see the point in using drills etc cos it takes only a couple of minutes to shred a few leaves and fill your tin or pouch so it's no hassle.
    How fine in millimeters does it shred? You could've showed us the result. My reel shredder is 0.8mm and pretty useless at making rolling tobacco, looks good as pipe tobacco though. I'm trying to find something that shreds to 0.3mm, the spec that factory stuff is made, it's the 1st time i've grown any and need the right tool for the job.

    How does it do with wet leaves? I live by the ocean and my leaves are always a bit damp. My manual cheap grinder already broke after only 6 lbs. Now im afraid to invest more.

      +Kate Burk HI Kate. Please don't put wet leaves this, it will get ruined. Where are you storing your leaves before you shred them?

    Just curious, why would you want to do this? I did the math and youd be spending more RYO with this method. Is this safer?

    • @crmusicproduction
      @crmusicproduction  Před 9 lety

      Hi Kyle, thanks for your message here. Firstly it is MUCH cheaper than what you would pay for in a shop because you don't have to pay duty on the leaf itself because when you get it, it is still an agricultural product. And yes, it is very much safer than shop bought as you know exactly what you are getting in your smoke. Tobacco, nothing more. Tobacco/cigs sold by the big manufacturers add so many nasty chemicals to the tobacco to prolong shelf life and also, chemicals to keep you addicted more.

      chris randell I will have to look into this! Im currently smoking OHM tobacco and i can say i am unaware of whats in it but atleast im not smoking marlboros. lol. MY calculations must have been off, im currently at work.

      Hi again Kyle. This is how I worked it out. To purchase 50g of tobacco in a shop would cost me around £12. Purchasing whole leaf is approximately £1.50 for 50g I would get around 40-50 cigs with 50g. To buy just 20 ready made cigs in a shop is about £5. The math is quite easy really.
