Idk if you guys noticed (bc it took me too long to realize this) but RM is likening himself to a still life painting. Saying he’s a moving still life, that can’t be locked in a frame. He also talks abt still choosing life (over death) in the lyrics. Idk if that’s a literal representation of where he was mentally while making this album or if it’s more abt his relationship with music (bc later in the lyrics he says his flower is blooming again, which i took as his love for music is growing once again/coming back). Idk, it’s probably both knowing him.

You might have seen it but definitely watch the Indigo Magazine film where he talks about it. He said he didn’t want to be disrespectful by sending her the song so he sent her like an explanation of what he wrote about and why he needed her specifically on the song. I grew up with Erykah Badu and I practically screamed when I saw she was going to be on his album!! The album is so good and def tells a story!! It's true about Namjoon introducing Armys to other artists - there's a number of them (like Tablo/Epik High) that I got into because of him. He's the real deal!
i highly recommend y'all listen to indigo album as well as mono (his mixtape from 2018). indigo has so many amazing collabs and songs. closer ft mahalia & paul blanco is a fan favourite. i also recommend suga's d-2 and j-hope's jack in the box. 3 amazing albums. to hear erykah calls him her friend and she really respects him as a neo-soul icon is crazy. bts earned so much respect from legends in the music industry.
