This is crazy timing! I just found this song yesterday, and then I had the thought “oh a Julia bass cover would sound so good”, then it came out the next day! Love this
I've never heard this song before now. And, somehow, I don't think the normal song will quite hold up as well after hearing this. You have a great ear for embellishment and a spectacular sense of groove. And, seemingly, really good taste in music.🔥
@@BebeNicole I did, and it's great. But, it's missing that funk slap solo section there toward the end, and that was just too cool. It is a great song, though. Classic old-school sound. Sounds like a strong MJ influence behind the writing. I've never been a fan of BTS (it's just not my thing), but I gotta admit, this song slaps.

I love the wood grain on that bass body, too. Is that swamp ash? Also, I'm curious, have you been playing on any bands' studio albums or tours or doing some other commercial work, etc? What are you up to besides your vids here? I'd like to let my students know. I teach elementary music and have shared your vids with my students to inspire them. :)
