    I love 4 o clocks because when they get thirsty they droop and within an hr you can see how happy they are. The flowers last forever too!

    Greeting from Florida, USA... Zone 9. I have been growing six Four O'clocks and didn't even know it; I have been calling them my mystery plant. They came in a hummingbird seed mix. Thank you for the growing information.

      Florida here as well.
      Same as you. My dad gave me seeds from his flowers 18 years ago and I literally just scattered them in my front planter and they keep growing every year bc the seed falls off and germinates where it falls.
      They are special to me bc my dad gave me the first seeds 😊

    Last year I planted this and it was the main attraction in my side yard. What a delight!🙂 This year I went overboard and planted seeds on both sides of my house. I love the continuous blooms. So pretty!🤗

      I live in Colorado USA and my mom got some seeds for me from Mexico, will the new plants adapt? It snows here during the winter.

      @@carrasco2011sc plant them in a container and then you can move the container in garage in winters after pruning the plants

      @@carrasco2011sc then you can prune the plants to the bottom in winters and add 6 inches of mulch to save the roots during winters

    Mine are about 2 inches tall. They've been planted for about a week. Yours are the same color of my grandma's. Beautiful

      I did the same but the seeds came from another country. I wonder if they will make it. They are growing right now because is hot and nice here.

      They look amazing. The next year I grew them with blanket flowers and the yellow and magenta combination was absolutely breathtaking

    I love this plant! It smells nice too! I'm in the Florida keys and we have these everywhere. A friend of ours has a yellow one and a fuchsia one that he keeps self pollinating yellow and pink flowers, and now his Bush is producing flowers that are pink and yellow! Very interesting! I had a few seeds from his plant I recently planted. Cant wait to see if I got 2 colored flowers, lol. HAPPY PLANTING!💚🌞

    Just few days ago I discovered I had a very remarkable bunch of 4-o-clock plants at a lane by my backyard (essentially, the sweet smell they throw in the air lead me to them), they bloom yellow and magenta flowers. They are really nice, and caught my attention. I have no idea how these plants ended up there, but anyways, it's been a nice discovery. Because of that, I became interested on how to cultivate them _inside_ my backyard. I picked up a handful of seeds (the plant generates hundreds), and now I do plan to cultivate them. Thanks for sharing your experience with this video, veyr useful. I will just try to replicate it (Barcelona area, Mediterranean). Kind regards

      Great, yes they come in yellow and magenta colors and if you grow them together, some seeds will grow plants with mixed colors

      They will. These plants are very resilient. Mine are about to bloom in this season and they sprouted from the roots of last year

    Hi I grew 4'Clocks for the first time spring of 23 and I was pleasantly surprised! I can't wait to replant the seeds around my property because I love Hummingbirds. However, you must be diligent about collecting those seeds. I can see how they can easily overtake an area quickly. But I like them 👍

      Yes! Also, depending on where you live, you can prune them to the ground in winter and they will sprout back in spring a

    I brought some seeds from Australia, they germinated ... Good 4 plants growing... The thing that amazing me its blooms night by 9 o'clock

      If you leave the roots in the soil over winters, in the next season, they can grow 4 feet tall and 4 feet wide

    I just got 15 seed from a neighborhood and I planted 7 of them I know it's not the good time...but i wanted to experiment and the other 8 I will plant in March or April

    Do the seeds need direct sunlight after being planted? Also, can this plant be kept in relatively small flower pots? I love in an appartment so I don't have a garden nor space for big flower pots.

      The seeds don't need direct sunlight. You can grow it in small container too, it won't grow as big but it should be fine.

    Very interesting and informative! Do you know if these seeds are poisonous to birds. I know they are to many pets and deer avoid the plant. I am concerned for visiting birds but there's not much information on this aspect on the net.

    How do I keep this plant blooming? It goes to seed very fast. Is the only way to do this is by constantly removing the seed pods? I think it’s pretty but the bloom time is short.

    my seedlings look leggy and I am hoping to re-plant them in deep soil. Can they take full sun all day / south facing?

      Seems like your seedlings are not getting enough sun. You should gradually increase the sun. If you move it in harsh sun while they are still weak, they will die

      Depends on the weather. Watch your plants for a few days. As soon as you see leaves drooping water them thoroughly. After a few tomes you will know how often to water them

      You know next year they will be much bigger. They die back in winters but do not remove the roots and they will grow much stronger and bigger in spring

      @@EasyPeasyGardening I tired. The cuttings from both the soil and also in water rooted. I was surprised both ways rooted. So they grow in all ways actually. Seed, cutting in soil and cutting in water. Very cool actually.

    I ordered Arabian jasmine seeds from china on eBay, I was never successful in growing jasmine seeds, these grew very fast, I was so exited, but they turned out to be 4 o’clock plant 😂😂😂 beautiful plant, but no jasmine
