Just as De Niro's character Travis Bickle engages in a solitary dialogue with his reflection, this piece explores the intimate and introspective conversation between two violas. Through a blend of tension, vulnerability, and raw emotion, the music captures the essence of a personal confrontation and self-examination. Each viola becomes both the speaker and the listener, weaving a complex narrative that challenges the boundaries between self and other. The dialogue unfolds with a mix of fragmented exchanges and harmonized reflections, embodying the profound and often unsettling journey of looking inward.
