Wood Ducks, Wood Ducks, Wood Ducks 4K

The wood ducks at Cypress Gardens SC were very cooperative today. Managed to get a bunch of good shots. There are a handful of bachelors, all decked out in their breeding plumage. There are also a several couples, two of which have little ones. The deer flies were nasty, but I persevered.

Well, I remembered all those times in the military when I was told to "Get your ducks in a row!". I've seen them line up on this log a couple times, but usually it's just a couple. I would have liked to have used a smaller aperture to get more ducks in focus, but decided to leave the tripod in the car for more flexibility in the field. I probably should have a tried a few handheld at F11 and F16 and hope the IBIS would work well enough to give me sharp images. I was more focused on just lining things up for the shot while keeping out of the poison ivy.
