If a restart, readjustment of sim card, reset of network connections or clean wipe don't resolve the issue, it's most likely a hardware problem. I've scoured the internet and this no sim detected issue can commonly present with usb/charging port problems and airplane mode problems. Best bet is to take it to Samsung or and an experienced repair shop that actually has access to parts for your particular model. I had to have the motherboard replaced to resolve the issues.
I replaced the charging port with the board and I am now encountering this problem 😔
Been having this problem since a got my Samsung 5 years ago.
Sometimes is like constantly or months apart.
We Shouldn't be dealing with this issues .
This is a problem Cell phones providers need to fix ASAP.
we are getting ripped off!
I did everything. The problem still exists even after factory reset.
@@rambelanimushaisano5383 still not fixed. Taking to customer service tomorrow
OK so I have a possible solution. I thought I needed charg port/ sim card reader board. As no sim message would pop up semi randomly but would happen more often when charging (wireless and cord) so Ordered one and had the same issue. Turned out to be a defective wireless charge coil. I think it had a swinging short before disassembly that became a permanent short when bent upward to remove connector. Would have signal but it would drop the second I reinstalled the wireless charge coil. Left it Uninstalled and haven't had my signal drop or no sim card message since and it's been 2 days.
I think "wipe cache partition" solved it for me. Or I just rebooted my phone enough, LOL.
I also have a "Unfortunately, Contacts stopped working" problem and this might be related to that because, when I boot up the system with the SIM card not being able to be detected, I got like 2 "Contacts stopped working" prompts in 10 minutes, including once immediately as I unlocked the phone screen. Not sure what's that caused by, tried every known solution to fix it. Samsung Galaxy J2 (2015), BTW.
sound silly but what worked for me was taking the sim card tray out reset the phone and mid reset reinsert the simcard and tray
I just got a brand new samsung galaxy a13 and it says No SIM (searching) never had this issue before with my SIM or other Samsung devices when putting in my SIM.
My service was cut-off this morning then I paid the bill. This was when it suddenly said "no sim". Could this be just because the service was off then on?
Oh my thank you so much i resetted the network setting now its working! Thanks a lot this problem was running for uhh about half year i dunno
Nothing help when your phone can't read the card at all. All functions are disabled , so i have not oprion
Lot of persons have worn out sim tray. You must replace it or add piece of white paper as small "pad". After it will have sim contact with sim tray.
Should the paper be on top of the SIM card & won't it get stuck in the slot? Will it work?
This worked, I knew it was a tray issue. You should do a video, thanks also ✌🏾
OK so for those who still have an issue. I have a possible solution. I tried all software options to no success.
Like you I've tried everything to fix no sim...where is the wireless charging coil located on the fold 2 ??
@alleywatch22 the wireless charging coil is the circular magnet on the interior of the phone that allows for Wireless Charging.
If you arent using the SD card slot you can insert the SIM card in the SIM 2 slot which is oriented perpendicularly to the SIM1 slot
thank you network reset worked.
Why do you have so DIFFERENT card trail then MINE?
I did everything all the day but not work.nothing
Thanks bro you are a lifesaver
The boost mobile sim card was working in my Samsung Galaxy s21 plus and then my phone updated and all of a sudden the boost mobile sim card isn't being recognized by my Samsung Galaxy s21 plus
I'm facing in this case too and i can't able to resolves this issue..been trying and scrolling up until now😴.7 days of suffering😴of how do i solved it😴.It's pissed me off.
I have two phones and the sim does not work in either both are unlocked and I have used sim before on both of them ... This is very frustrating
there is only public solution.I In video is not show problems with sim tray and you not say about It.
This is 100 percent Samsung update issue how os it possible my wife phone that we live in Illinois that was s10 had this issue and then my cousin in Wisconsin that has a S22plus had the same issue at the same exact time. This cant be a coincidence.Samsung update or Verizon towers only commonality
Best solution is to change brand. Because this is a Samsung problem that they actually don't give a s**t about
Tried all the above. Issue NOT solved.
Seems to be an issue with the phone itself. Many people say they stayed having this issue after updating. Mine worked fine for about 2 months then the sim card error stayed popping up intermittently. Sometimes seconds apart and sometimes it would go for half an hour before it popped up the error again.
Samsung needs to get their act together. I loathe Apple so they're not an option for me but maybe Motorola or another android brand?
Get e-sim on your phone. It worked for me. The physical sim just does not work on my s21 ultra at all.
This has happened to me now.I have a S20 Ultra. My phone worked well for about 2months and then this has happened.Im mad and confused.
THANK YOU !!!
Having the same issue. None of these worked for me. I've tried everything...
UPDATE!!
After all of the drama, I've managed to solve the problem by inserting a small piece of folded paper in with the SIM card (on top of it), to ensure the contact of the SIM inside the phone is optimal. I have to say - this is a terrible design flaw of the phone as I had only ever removed the first SIM card ONCE (to replace it when I changed providers) and then it immediately ceased to read SIM cards again.
What do you mean by on top of it? You mean the paper on top of the actual electric part?
@@90sssgamer28 folded up wns slipped in on top of the sim card, pressing the contacts of the sim card down onto the contacts of the phone
I did this after my s20 fe which had the same issue:
1. Power off your phone.
2. Remove the sim card tray out and power the phone back on.
3. After powering it on, go to settings and choose apps.
4. In apps, search for SIM card toolkit. If your phone is dual sim there will be two of these.
5. In SIM card toolkit, clear cache and the data. If dual sim do for both toolkits.
6. Power off the phone and re-insert the sim tray.
7. Power it up once again and after the device has restarted you can see the name of your carrier when you swipe down .
This can work for all Android devices.
Did it work for you and is it still working? I followed all your steps and my SIM card still doesn't work.
@unclefester831 check if your sim card contacts are damaged by inserting it into another phone. If it works in that one, then your phone will be the culprit.
@@dwaynedcosta8313 what do you mean sim card contacts damaged? like contacts are all erased?
I tried everything i could to fix this problem . This trick seems to have worked so far . Before i put the sim card back in i gave it a clean with rubbing alcohol [ IPA in the UK ]
I flashed the phone to delete everything, now it can't read simcard. Where do I go to activate it?
Registering my network worked but still great effort though
Thanks , i have a s21 ultra , i did reset the network seting then i restarted the phone and it worked , thank you so much
It didn't work so I put my SIM card in my older phone and now I'm using my older phone flawlessly so it must be the phone
Same. I actually just ordered a replacement sim tray for my s21. I'll see if that works.
Yeah my SIM card works fine on a different phone but it stopped working on my A20s. Some say that inserting a small piece of paper on top of the SIM might help too.
@@xposed7200 nope. Wound up getting a new phone. I traded the old one in to Google for a pixel and they gave me full credit, so I guess they figured it out. Or they didn't realize it.
After my samsung finished the software update, my sim card stopped working wtf
Same same same, before it wouldn't say anything now, it's saying Sims not detected. My galaxy has an eternal sim i can't remove it.
Scam didnt work
I had this problem but thought its just me then my mother too with the same phone and then my friend who bought a new Samsung A72
I dont understand why samsung is not fixing this shit
My phone has an internal sim wtf
None of that worked for me 😔 samsung s21 is such a dreadful phone, 6 of my friends got same problem with crap samsung s21's
Omg I'm literally on an S21 trying to troubleshoot. I'm afraid I've wasted money on this phone.
@@sobangcha3042 you may have i'm afraid, i've taken it in to repair 5 times now because I have it on contract so its free under warranty but it just keeps happening! And my warranty is nearly up. I've had to use my old samsung A5 as a hotspot with my simcard in it to be able to use my data.
@@jhanexbluevlog8508 they factory reset mine each time it went into repair? Its just a shit phone full stop.
Jab problem solve kerna nhi ata to video kyo dala hai😢😢😢😢😢
The best solution its to change to Apple. I'm about to do that worse phone I ever had s22.
should've stayed iPhone
Thanks so much! "Network reset" worked for me, so pleased I've avoided it being opened up for nothing.
