That movie was a big hit and lots of boys in India wanted to be cool like him. And in that movie, Shahid Kapoor forces himself on a woman once, he becomes an alcoholic, smokes a lot, and is shown to have violent tendencies.
This show is also very successful and can build such wrong expectations in the minds of young boys and girls. As you said, girls will think such behaviour is normal because even the “perfect guy” did it. Guys will aspire to be like him.
Obviously movies and TV shows can show flawed or bad characters. We shouldn’t stop all grey or dark characters because that will kill creativity and entertainment. Most people are smart enough to know that this is fiction but unfortunately lots of people will influenced negatively.
