- To Winchester, to see 34067 Tangmere head the Cathedrals Express towards Weymouth. Taking the next train I overhaul the steamer at Southampton and wait at Brockenhurst. Tangmere makes a great run over the crossing and through the station. There's no catching her then until Weymouth where she's in great demand. I hang around to watch the departure for the Jersey sidings - was it really 44 years ago?

Nothing to stir the emotions like a steam engine in full flight. Great video.
Steam express going fast through a station what a thrilling sight, AND without an UGLY diesel back up at the back.
My Dad Worked On The Railways , He Was in Charge of the Signalbox..
My nearly two year old never fails to ask for this one, a great selection of shots!
Going like the clappers! Lovely!
That was brilliant especially thru Winchester ,Tangmere living up to her nick name " the dirty lady" (liked)
god bless you tangmere at the end LOL
Nice footage, it was certainly moving. Love the 'doppler shift' on the whistle as it passes.
Great shots of Tangmere at speed, thanks for sharing it! Ken
Another good video love watching these was on this trip ran like the clappers!
Fabulous!
Beautiful piece of film thank you.
That had the lot. Love the 2nd clip at Brockenhurst. Speed, clag and clickety-clack. Excellent.
Lovely lovely...pure magic..steam forever eh?
Hi Will,
Yet another fantastic Vid. Was on the catherdrals yesterday and it was a brilliant run all the way. Was even faster on the return run - 80 minutes from Salisbury to Waterloo.
I love seeing spamcans at speed, and by god she was on fire that day!
I'd swear I could smell the smoke.
Good steam train.
Good to see without the Oilcan on the rear
Thanks! - it's not quite 'Thomas the Tank Engine' - it's one of my favourites too - especially the charge through Brockenhurst!
That's exciting. That was the cartoon which is based on those British Steam Locomotives.
....Bravo!*****
Gave me half a teacake at 1:27

Surely a steamer is a ship?
