Thanks for this excellent comparison video. Great playing, too! I have a Dunlop Cry Baby Classic, and the V845 sounds like the slightly deeper, narrower sounding tonal range I’m hearing in my head. Now to order one and hear how it behaves in my picky guitar rig! :)
Very usable review. I had a Dunlop Cry Baby in the early 80's, biggest issue was that the pot was noisy. So with the Vox, I'd want to know how smoothly and quietly the pot adjusts the tone. For me, the 845 has nicer tonal range, but it would be great to get that in the 847's metal casing.
PLASTIC case? That wont work so well for some guys. I mean this is not a pdeal you just click on and off once or twice a whole gig. The human foot and weight is on the pedal a lot..PLastic will not last too long, it seems.
As a user of the v847 for over a decade I had no idea that I would probably prefer the v845. Thank you !!!

i purchased the 845 ....i found the 847 good but, too bright for me
And you can definitely get those bright tones if you want to in other ways but by default? I definitely would agree the 45 is my new favorite

Which one has the most sweep and can help get huge Hendrix tones?
Can’t you adjust the travel on the pots to get the 845 to have more high end?
You can not - it is set for the best sweep. If you're looking for more high end, the V847 might suit you better

You can open it and mod it to your taste
