    Surprised you had a sofirn light in there. Gave me hope for the rest of the video which wasn't terrible. Its not a well known brand but it is a reliable one and their lights offer incredible value for the price. I got a sc18 for $15 which has superior specs to the olight s2r baton ii i got for like $80 (1800 lumens vs 1200). That chair was pretty pricy and you didn't mention the weight. A better option would have been the helinox chair zero. Not only is it cheaper but it's super light and a favorite among backpackers. Idk about the backpack but everything else also seemed pretty gimmicky. Would have gone for a jet boil instead of that stove thing, just carry a battery bank instead of fiddling with a solar panel and just take a morakniv instead of those folding kitchen knives.

    • @xvaldez3284
      @xvaldez3284 Před rokem

      That flashlight is far brighter than any standard battery flashlight out there and you can always carry a spare 18650 if you're that worried about it though I doubt it'll be necessary. These lights can last up to 60 days on the lowest brightness mode. That battery life on these are monstrous. I've gone months without charging my olight s2r baton ii (a 1200 lumen light). Even at 10% battery it'll probably still be brighter than your standard AA or AAA battery. Those types tend to max out at the 100-300 lumen range the light in the video maxes out at 2,100 lumens. The future is now old man. I've got keychain lights the size of a pinky with a 650 lumen output meanwhile those old school D cell maglights granpa carries around max out at 168.

    Sorry, but my opinion is that these things are for those people who think that they need to go out into nature so that they can live the ___exact_same_lifestyle___ there as they do at home, in the city within the four walls! For example, they take a TV with them so that they don't miss any news that might cause them stress. They take a radio and a music player with them to drown out the sounds of nature, for example the chirping of crickets and the chirping of birds. They have no training, so they cannot sleep on a hard surface. They have no idea, for example, about preserving meat by salting or drying it, and that's why they think they have to eat all kinds of junk food full of preservatives even during nature walks, and when they cook it right away, they take almost an entire industrial kitchen with them, maybe even a freezer and a refrigerator. They are not able to burn with solid fuel that they find in nature, they're unable to build a campfire from woods and dry weeds, that is why they need a gas bottle. Maybe they can't even stake a tent decently, so they need a whole caravan, a big trailer with full-extra-de-luxe, which is important to be air-conditioned.
    So yes, these gadgets are good for those who don't want to go out into nature, but want to be able to carry all the unnatural living conditions they are used to everywhere, because they are not interested in real nature.
    The only thing I saw in the video that MAYBE is really useful is the backpack, although I think a Tasmanian Tiger 100L military backpack is significantly more durable. But to be honest, I'm not sure because I don't know the brand shown in the video. The other stuff, on the other hand, is either downright unnecessary, or there are much better things instead. For example, in the case of a knife, I value a full tang fixed blade version much more, moreover, it doesn't have to have such a specially crafted blade shape, made of all kinds of case-hardened steel, but an ordinary almost "vintage" carbon steel is much more suitable, because it is easy to sharpen if necessary. Of course, these overcivilized hikers who only THINK they are nature hikers have no idea how to sharpen a knife...
    Such people are the ones who go out into nature with ten tons of stuff, and then leave half of it there because they litter everything behind.

      Someone give this guy an award for most most professional camper. I guess anyone who wants to go camping has to be a professional and has to do so as if they were stranded on an island and facing certain death. Just because someone used these items does mean they don't have the knowledge in their head. Maybe the person using these items only has a day or so to do some camping and just wants something quick and easy. Or maybe they're just using this stuff in their back yard. Jesus Christ! Sometimes people dont go camping to get away from everyday items, they do it get away from the everyday judgement of people that can't accept the way someone enjoys their hobby or lives their life.
