I'm with soulboy71, no way you get cocky with 10 games left, that's 30 points on the table. We have to face Liverpool & you just don't know with them, and we have to face Man City away. We have an amazing team, and confidence is high, and everything is in our hands to win or loose, but it's still a two horse race right now, it's not like we are 15 points clear. If that was the case, then yes, the title would be done and dusted.

Wildly inconsistent with the calls between games causing confusion and anger. With the perceived inconsistencies, I should say, because the problem is that the individual is consistent. They just aren't all consistent in agreeing to terms of overall stances and rulings on things as a whole. While one may be a stand-out ref and doing his job perfectly, he won't get recognition. However, the ref that will miss things will consistently miss those things, and it'll be highlighted. With almost no real accountability for their actions. They are free to act this way game in and game out. With regional/support bias being brought in when they are assigned to a specific area and their performance stands out for the wrong reasons.
In order to limit the inconsistencies. They need like a conference at the beginning of the year, explaining what the rules really are. It should be livestreamed so we all know what the rules are because some are explained with so much grey area and interpretation. We need to clear all doubts. When you're asked an opinion based question, how are you supposed to get it "right" for everyone. The interpretation could be 100% right to them and wrong to 80% of the fans. Once this is explained, then the bar can be set, and we can rightfully understand what is expected when a ref is touched or someone has an errant handball. We can then also set a standard that when it isn't met by these officials, they can be properly called out and held accountable. Reffing cards. You have a minor screw up, yellow. You have a major screw up, red. Have the refs essentially be reffed. Haha You get a certain amount of cards. Banned.
Like, for instance, if you aren't a captain, you aren't supposed to approach the ref at all, correct? The captains are the ones that are supposed to communicate issues with the ref unless the ref calls a player over to either explain, ask, or issue out a warning/card. This is technically a cardable offense, especially if repeated after a potential verbal warning that isn't needed bc these are the rules, correct. You shouldn't need this explained to you in the game. So if you just run over and start yelling at them as a player, instant card, yet you RARELY see it. So much so that when it happens, you often get a "what was that card for" from a fan base.
I want to get to a point where the refs have the respect and standing a typical rugby ref has. There is a proper understanding of the rules, and things are thoroughly explained and communicated to all parties involved. Most importantly, there is respect between EVERYONE.

I think comparing the Fernandes' push on the linesman to the Mitrovic push on the referee is like comparing Graham Norton to Mike Tyson. Fernandes barely touched the linesman and had been manhandled by the same linesman seconds earlier for no reason. I should say that, as an Arsenal fan, I can't stand Fernandes and his histrionics and play acting but, in this instance, I don't think he did anything wrong. As far as the Fulham penalty goes, it was handball but it's a moot point as to whether he should have been sent off. Did he deliberately move his hand to the ball or was he trying to get his body in the way? His hand was very close to his body and maybe a yellow card would have been sufficient. Some referees may not have sent Willian off but it doesn't change the fact that Mitrovic's reaction was completely over the top and he will probably not play again this season.

I agree the standard of officiating is awful, but I think given United always seem to get the rub of the green more often than not, especially when compared to other "smaller" teams is what is so infuriating for fans of other clubs.
