Ich habe für 5 Jahren in Deutschland gearbeitet und vermisse es so sehr. Ich war ein paar mal in Berlin. Es freut mich sehr deine videos zu gucken. Viel Erfolg !
And now the final exam: How to dispose of a used tea bag properly in Germany! First you remove the staple that attaches the string to the paper tag. The staple goes into the bin for valuable materials, the string into the one for resisual waste. The tag is recyclable paper and thus goes into the paper bin. Now empty the soaked tea stuff into the bin for biodegradable waste. The little tissue bag itself goes into the bin for residual waste. And this is why we germans work only 35 hours a week and have 30 days leave per year: We need a lot of time to separate our waste. But seriously now: this all is far not as complicated as it sounds. If you can handle salt, sugar and 8 different spices in your kitchen, you can do this, too. It is definitely more complicated to set up an email account. And the separation system helps very much to save comodities and energie, and it helps to keep the environment clean. I am german, by the way. Where I live, you only pay for the residual waste (by weight, the garbage truck has a built in scales, and the bin a transponder for identification). All other waste fractions are free. Another good reason to separate properly.

In Norway we have blue, green an brown bins. Blue for paper ,boxes, milk cartons and such, brown for food waste, grass, baby diapers! (Believe it or not) and other waste from nature. Green for whatever else you throw in the trash indoors. And we have many recycling stations where you can deliver whatever you need to get rid of for a small fee.

If you are doing it right you almost have zero Rrestmüll. I once lived in a WG with 5 other people and we had only tiny 20l Restmüll every 2 weeks. For 6 people in their 20s. Basically everything of your typical household waste is either Gelber Sack, Kompost or Papier. The other stuff is mostly plastic that doesn't qualify for the yellow bin, like a broken noodle sieve, a disgusting old sponge, empty stove spray or something like that that isn't everyday garbage.

Of course you have to remember that its totally different in other regions of germany. e.g. Paper goes into the green one in Bavaria
Das deutsche System erklärt:
1. Pappe und Papier aber keine Tetrapacks, Kassenbons und Togo Becher und nur wenn es sauber ist
2. Verpackungen wie Tetrapack, Plastikfolien, Plastikflaschen ohne Pfand, Alufolie, Jogurtbecher immer den Deckel entfernen, manchmal auch Metalldosen, Manchmal auch ein gelber Sack
3. Metall manchmal auch in Verpackungen aber manchmal gibt es auch einen extra Container/Tonne
4. Glas, manchmal noch unterteilt in weißes, braunes, grünes und bunt glas dass kein Pfand hat.
5. Biomüll, alles was sich zersetzen kann, keine Plastiktüten, kein Fleisch
6. Restmüll, Alles was nicht in die oben genannten Kategorien gehört und nicht Sperr oder Sondermüll ist
Sachen die man gesondert wegbringen muss
7. Sperrmüll: Holz; Möbel
8. Gartenabfälle: Wenn es mehr ist
9. Sondermüll wie Batterien, Spraydosen, Lacke, Elektrogeräte, Energiesparlampen, Pfannen
10. Pfandflaschen und Pfandbecher: Kein Müll, ab zurück in den Supermarkt
11. Altkleidercontainer
Die Farben sind je nach Stadt und Bundesland unterschiedlich.

Die tischbeine gehören doch in die Wertstofftonne (Orange). In die Wertstofftonne dürfen auch Kunststoffe und Metalle die nicht-Verpackungen sind. In die gelbe Tonne gehören nur Verpackungen.

In Österreich die Farben sind: Gelb für den Kunststoff bzw Plastikflaschen, Rot für Altpapier, Blau für Metalldosen (ab jetzt Gelb und Blau werden zusammen gehören, also Plastikflaschen und Metalldosen werden zusammen hinein), Weiss für weißes Glas, Grün für buntes Glas, Bräu für Biomüll und Schwarz für Restmull. Also nicht so anders als in Deutschland

Bei mit ist die braune Tonne grün und in den Glascontainern wird nach weiß, grün und braun getrennt.

Die Farbe der Tonnen sind unterschiedlich je nach Stadt. Hier in Stuttgart ist schwarz für Restmüll, grün für Altpapier und braun für Biomüll. Unser gelber Sack sind echte Säcke, die man in Supermarkt oder im Rathaus abholen kann, und die Gläser bringen wir zu Sammelplätze. Thanks for the video! it's super helpful, i've been living in Germany for about a year and and i still do not know where exactly some of the products go. i have a couple of questions, in the bio mull when i first went to dump the organic waste, i saw people put the organic in a plastic and then dump it, is that the way? or dump the organic in the plastic to bio mull and then dump the plastic to gelb sack? another thing i observed is people dumped the glass containers with it's caps. so i'm confused, should it be done with or without caps.. would appreciate it if that could be answered.. i tried googling these questions and reddit, didn't find the answer i was looking for..
There are exception, which can be accepted. Usually caps are belonging to Gelber Sack, but you can still dump capped glass/bottle into glass container. The reason is that the companies have filter machine, which can detect, unscrew and sort automatically.
Note: Broken-sealed beer cap dont belong to this, always for Gelber Sack.
Bio Müll (which isnt full black) is kinda for Gardener, roughly speaking. Plastic bag makes no sense.
Not every has Bio Müll, I dont have it, too.
Restmüll (full black) - Plastic (Müll-)bag is recommend and is often white transparent - all leftover of food/drink and papier towel/napkin are belonging to this, too. Every store should have the bag package for sale.

Abhineeth K S there are plastic bags which are composable (lasts about 2-4 weeks). They are smaller and you can put your organic stuff in there, because it is still decomposable und so you don‘t have to wait three days befor you bring out the stinky fish or whatever. The glas which is collected ourside has at least three colors: green, brown und white, seldom even blue. and when you life in the countryside they expect you to drive about 5-10 miles 😂. the more I write about it, the crazier it sounds.

@@katta2116 you could search in the internet at "Müllentsorgung *your city*". There you should find all informations from your local waste company. Like how the waste is sorted, when it will be fetched. Because every City has its own details with the waste handling. But it's just helpful if you can read a bit German, I don't know if they will have the informations in English
Hallo Cari, deine Videos sind immer sehr toll und nützlich. Deine Erklärung ist sehr gut. Allerdings muss ich mir dieses Video mehrmals ansehen, um das deutsche Recyclingsystem zu verstehen. Weil ich denke, es ist ein kompliziertes Recycling-System. Viele Grüße aus Kolumbien

Ich habe schon viel zu diesem Thema gelesen, habe aber noch Fragen. Verschiedene Quellen behaupten, dass bestimmte Dinge in verschiedene Tonnen gehen. Wie zum Beispiel Asche. Was tun mit Butterwickel, Fleisch- und Fischverpackungen? Restmull oder Gelbe Tonne (Kunsverpackung Tonne in Wertstoffinseln wie in München)? und ich habe verschiedene Dinge über Öl und Fett gehört. Einige sagen, dass sie nicht in Bio-Tonne gegossen werden können.
Das problem ist dass es auch nochmal regionale Unterschiede gibt. Die Farben sind unterschiedlich je nach dem wo man wohnt.
Der Unterschied zwischen Deutschland und Italien ist, dass ihr verschiedene Tonnen habt, wohingegen wir keine Tonne haben. Ich meine, dass wir unsere eigene Mülltüten benutzen müssen und Plastic, Glass, Papier, usw nur an besonderen Tagen genommen werden. Zum Beispiel, Papier nur am Mittwoch, Plastic nur am Montag... Dagegen ihr euch keine Sorge machen müsst, denn ihr dürft jeden Tag Plastik, Papier, Glass, usw in die Tonne werfen. Ihr seid glücklicher als uns.

Vielleicht wird in Stuttgart der "gelbe Sack" benutzt. Dort verzichtet man auf eine weitere Tonne und benutzt für den Verpackungsmüll spezielle gelbe Müllsäcke.

Ist egal, meist sind aber die zu laufenden Säcke blau, grau, schwarz oder weiß.

@@anastasiyazhuk6341 In den Biomüll kommt alles, was du auch auf den Komposthaufen werfen würdest. Restmüll gehört da nicht hin. Warum sollte es keine Option für Restmüll geben? Meinst du keine Tonne, oder wie?
Restmüll - Schwarz ( meist aber blauer Sack, da kommt das widerliche rein, halt alles was nicht in die anderen Tonnen kommt )
Gelber Sack - Gelb ( Verpackungen, Dosen, Tetrapacks )
Bio Müll - Grün ( Alles was du auch in deinen Garten werfen würdest weil du weißt das es mit der Zeit "aufgenommen" wird )
Altpapier - Blau ( Pappe/Papier )
Glas in die Altglascontainer die eigentlich in jedem Dorf an einem öffentlichem Platz stehen. So hab ich es kennengelernt.

ich bin nicht die Cari, aber ich denke solange keine Plastikbestandteile an der Hülle sind, kann man sie in den Papiermüll werfen. Es geht ja nur darum, das das Papier recycelt werden kann. Jeder andere Stoff würde das Recycling schwieriger machen.
nur wenn es ein Zeichnung 21PAP gibt und wenn es nicht nass oder fettig ist, weil, wie in disem Video gesagt wird, viele Verpakungen mit dünne Schicht aus Kunststoff bedeckt sind
The glass bin is disappeared since one month in the garbage space of my place, while the other bis are still here.

Could be a couple of reasons. Was it a small bin for your house or a public bin in a public space?
If your City has glass bins for each house, take a look if your neighbours glass bins are still there. If not, your city may has changed the system to public bins.
If yes, it is most likely that it was stolen and you should contact your landlord or if you are the owner, the garbage company.
The price for recycled glass has fallen.

no, it is almost the same. every plastik ist kunststoff (a polymere), but not every kunststoff has to be plastik. for instance nylons are Kunststoff but not plastik.
Signoury Burton is right. Kunststoff literally means "artificial substance". Plastic is one of them. In daily life people often refer plastic as "Kunststoff".

You mixed it up. "Nähren" is to feed, while "Nähern" is to Come close.
"Ich nähre dich" I feed you.
"Ich nähere mich dir" I come close to you.
"Nähren" is a bit outdated and not often used in daily conversation. It has the same meaning like "ernähren".
