In this video, I try to survive 10 days against the Endless Zombie Horde by living in a Project Zomboid Fallout Shelter!
The Fallout Shelter is equipped with all my daily needs, but in order to defend myself from the massive horde on Day 10, i'll need to loot and explore the surrounding area with my friend DiamondKid!
This video is filled with highs, lows, and epic moments.

Not sure if you’re still new but if you put your little icon used for aiming, looking, etc at the zombies feet you will always hit them

BIG SUGGESTION HERE, you can pick things up, like, those barricades with the little “dresser” on the side of the screen. Those barriers, furniture, most objects can be picked up and moved rather than disassembled
Still requires a hammer to do so bruh

Amazing video lad! Another tip! Those barricades can be picked up if I remember correctly. You don't necessarily need a hammer to do so. It could've saved some time for you.
Another tip for escaping hordes IF possible. Try to run between buildings and such to break line of sight.
Another tip is to level up your skills by watching TV on channel "Life and Living". The shows run usually at 6:00, 12:00, 18:00. There might be fourth time too but I forgot. You will increase your carpentry, cooking, trapping and fishing skills

i couldnt believe that this channel was so small. You deserve way more attention. Its really fun watching someone thats new to the game i mean its nice watching movie like project zomboid content but it is refreshing to see all the fails and silly mistakes that you make being new to the game :D I have some tips for you: For the early game your build is pretty important because it will dictate how easy you start and when you start doing some harder challenges you will feel it. Some negative traits for free points are: Smoker, Thin Skinned, Weak Stomach,Underweight,High Thirst,Slow Reader (you can just fast forward time). There are a lot of builds you can make just experiment and find what you like the best. 3 best ones in my opinion are Lumberjack, Firefighter, Police officer. I also like Burglar. In the early game try to avoid the zombies if you can try to get a crowbar or axe. Its nice that you have a friend to teach you while playing. Rest of the stuff you will figure out on your own. Have fun with the game and i hope you stick around.

Awesome stuff! I’ve been playing for a while and you’re already doing pretty good, I suggest trying to “aim with your playermodel” if your character looks like they are, exactly facing the enemy, then they most likely either are or are slightly off.

@KezContent2 PZ has a lot of idiosyncrasies. Learning how everything works takes a lot of time. I have over 2000 hours on it and still get surprised by something new now and again! ........and I'll have to learn tons of new stuff when Build 42 is released!

If your gun jams, press X to rack the gun, clearing the jam. Also works for shotguns if you shoot and then run which causes the pump action to cancel, leaving you without a round in the chamber
13:40: we had not found a hammer Me: clearly remembers you finding tools "including a hammer" at 4:57 "maybe you just forgot to take them with you"
At the time I just didn’t think we needed it. Tbf since I was new I didn’t realise that certain tools would be essential pickups

Something to note for the future. If you craft a few sheet ropes you can combine chopped logs in stacks of up to 4, reducing their weight and allowing you to move them to one spot much more capably. throw one or two stacks in a bag and one in each of your hands and move them. Once you do this you can then saw ALL the logs into planks at once allowing you to farm xp with a bit less clicks while also consolidating all the planks into one spot.
Even with more hours now I still didn't know this! Thanks for the advice!
Some tips to surprise your friend (and make youre life easier) :
You can stand on a downed zombie to prevent him from getting up (wouldve been useful at 11:40)
You can run into few zombies (4 max I think ?) while disengaging to escape. (could've avoided the bite at 11:49)
You can jump thro windows by holding the running button and tapping spacebar (or is it E? Haven't played zomboid in a few weeks)
You can spam the pushing animation to make a zombie fall (useful for 1v2 or 1v3 scenario as you can keep one down under you, one down next to you while you deal with the remaining standing)
You can use cars to somewhat block zombies (or make them pathway where you want to) - they'll still crawl under the car depending on your server setting but you can deal with them easily.
When a zombie jump over a fence (like in 3:00) just stay close to the fence (basically at his feets) this way he can't hit you but you can hit his head.
You can use sirens to draw zombies (they'll stick to the car usually even after you move nearby - useful for clearing large areas like the mall, you can even use a campfire or molotovs to kill them)
For the last day of your defence, while buildings walls and some fences was a good idea, you could've just made more layers of fences and complexicity to slow further down the zombies.
I can tell by the fact you were using a shotgun and had the melee indicator turned on that you're not really a "noob" at the game but yeah, hope those tips still help.

13:40 you didnt really need a hammer, you can just lift the barricades up, using the option on the left side of the screen, and then put them somewhere else for clean driving space

The gun range is the knob creek gun range and its a real location they have awesome gun shows there and shoot barrels lf jet fuel with gattling guns though it was years ago I went to see it but it was amazing

you can remove barriers by picking up the barrier and cones and move them aside you dont need a hammer for that
It's been a while since I've played PZ, but I'm pretty sure that whole search for a hammer after 13:30 was wasted. If I recall correctly, you can pick up those barricades and place them somewhere else instead of deconstructing them
