  • Showing the use of this quality multi-gym system, specifically the leg press. This is a separate attachment to the unit, other attachments include a dip station and pec fly station, but I believe this leg press is the best overall value for this system. This review may help you consider this or a similar gym system and have confidence in the quality and use. Enjoy this information and comment with any tips or questions.

    Yeah, the leg press attachment is one pain to move around. Very heavy and awkward. I purchased all of the attachments, but found the leg press monopolizing my bench. Too much hassle to be attaching/removing it, I just left it attached. I purchased a separate bench just to be able to leave it and not be messing with it. I found this attachment worthy of a separate bench in order to leave attached permanently.

      There's no way I could leave it in. Move the bench around too much with doing different movements with the main machine.

      Cheaper to buy a actual leg press at that point.

    What I notice in this piece of equipment that is excellent is that in the eccentric part of the exercise you end up with your knees slightly open which means that there is an external rotation of the ankles, knees and therefore the tibia. I see that you are a tall person so it means that for a tall person it is little bit detrimental biomechanically. Maybe I'm wrong but that's what I notice in a cross-sectional view of your legs. The equipment is excellent. Thank you

      Thanks for this highly technical and accurate observation! Over time, I tend to kinda rotate my footing as I press the machine back and forth, I don't know if this alleviates what your pointing out or not, but it seems natural for me to be flexible on the machine rather than too rigid like the video shows. Appreciate this input and discussion.

      I believe so, I'm 6'1, and it's full range for me. Users may need to make adjustments, and I hear that they have come up with a new leg press part, so it may be even better now.

    I had one of those in 2018 and had an issue with the floor stand of the leg accessory rising off the floor when performing the leg press movement. I had to bolt it down to keep it from rising that made everything safe to use. Powertec could have added weight post on the ends of the floor stand that would allow you to stack plates to keep the accessory from rising off the floor when doing leg presses.

    • @julzzcan9490
      @julzzcan9490  Před 3 lety +1

      Safety is key! They apparently redesigned their equipment in 2019 or 2020, mine slides in well and stays fairly well planted - it would be great if it had something designed to be held down, even more, perhaps weights or bolts, etc. Sometimes we have to do some engineering ourselves to make things work for the better. Take care

    Debating between the powertec WB-LS-YY gym or titan selectorized machine? Already have rack, ft amd many other stuff. Powertec it's about $1600 out the door and titan lat pull down is $1800

    • @julzzcan9490
      @julzzcan9490  Před 2 lety

      Honestly, I've never tried that, I would say it can at lighter weights, but I think it's designed for two leg operation. It would probably shift too much for my liking. I'll try it out next time and let you know.

    • @julzzcan9490

    How's the leg press quality

    • @julzzcan9490
      @julzzcan9490  Před 3 lety +4

      Very adequate for an attachment. A stand-alone station is certainly better, but it's hard to beat this as an added option for training the entire body out of a home gym. Bodybuilders probably wouldn't be satisfied with it, but it's good enough for most fit people I would say.
