Oh my goodness. I'm on s3 now and am about to scream. Cathy needs to TALK to Jason. Of course he misses his Dad but her life isn't over. The way he is treating Michael is bugging me. And Pauline.....please go away. Love the show! Good actors because they get you emotionally involved!

I've just found this show in Australia. I think it's the most wonderful show that I have seen for ages and ages. And Leslie Manville WOW. Cathy and Michael, although they don't say much, it's all written in their faces and eyes. I'm looking forward to Series 3. I really like the rest of the cast as well, but Cathy and Michael ..................... just wonderful

Lesley Manville is an amazing actress. First time I saw her was as a supporting actor in Secrets & Lies and as little as an appearance she had, I already felt her potential. Also saw her, (sadly) fantastic, in Another Year

I binged watched it twice within couple of weeks! great acting, Lesley & Peter were superb. Great script. I love about it, the show has a class, they focused on emotions rather than sex or that sort of stuff.

Loved this show.It was funny,sad and tender in equal measures.Cathy and Michael's relationship was so sensitively handled and I was really pleased with the conclusion to series 3.

Thank you so much for making this. It’s a perfect collection of Cathy and Michael’s best moments together. A wonderful pick-me-up when I don’t have time to rewatch whole episodes. Stefan Golaszewski is a genius for having chosen Lesley Manville and Peter Mullan.
Such a great series. I’ve watched Series 1 before in almost one hit now it’s back on our ABC station once a week. I tend to watch each episode a couple of times till my next hit. A tender love story between Cathy and Michael. I’d like to box the ears with the others. Jason would never be my son, Cathy is far too soft on him. Kelly, I’d have rung her neck after ep2 and especially 5. Pauline is a really sad case along with Derek. However, it’s what makes for a wonderful series. Hope to get the box set for Christmas.

Every single actor in this series was superb casting. From the younger pair through to miserable parents. Loved the acidity of her sister in law too. Wonderful script. Best English drama, along with the Detectorists. Can’t fault either writer.
An older series Jam and Jerusalem covered similar territory in a wackier way. Really worth a watch too.

Leslie Manville, you make me love life xx, there's not a 20 year old girl alive today, as beautiful as a 55 year old you, and, give Pauline and Derick, Derrick, Derreck , how do you spell bloody Derrick, a show to follow up Mum, there is a lot going on there and we need to know.
