In 2022, Trip Lee released his seventh studio album, The End. A project very near and dear to his heart, Trip knew from its conception that he wanted to partner it with a podcast. End.Notes is that vision brought to life. Follow Trip Lee along with his friend, author, entrepreneur and former pastor, John Onwuchekwa, as they walk through The End track by track and share about the creation process of each song, discuss themes woven into the lyrics and share personal stories and experiences related to those themes. For me “ The end “ was the best album in 2022. The project is strong, the sound is hard and the impact is real. Trip Lee is more than a rapper.

A couple things…first this was a very real and raw conversation, so thank you for that. To piggy back off of the part where you said we hold God accountable to stories we’ve created in our heads I’ll add that we also (we is me) can have a sense of entitlement where God is concerned bcuz we think bcuz we’ve been faithful, help others, give generously, or whatever then that means God owes us when in reality God owes us NOTHING! He gave His son and truth is is that if He never gave us another thing, He is still a good, good God. Second, to the gentleman speaking on infertility…obviously not knowing him, and this is not to say that this is aimed directly at him, however sometimes we don’t get the “good” things we desire simply so that or bcuz we have made an idol of it already. As Christ followers we are to have no other gods before Him. We need to want the giver over and more earnestly than the gift. We have to fight our flesh to truly keep God first. So if we never get that thing, it’s ok Lord cuz I trust you. Doesn’t mean the thing is bad, but maybe He’s using you to be a witness and example to others of how to serve, love and trust God in spite of your circumstances. Hope this helps.

I really enjoyed this conversation. We (some of us) tend to erroneously think other people, particularly public figures, artists, spiritual leaders, etc., don't struggle with the same types of things that we do.
In my Christian walk or as I like to say my "Journey with Jesus," the Lord revealed to me that EVERYTHING in this temporal world belongs to Him and that is what helped me lay down my controlling nature at His feet.
I still struggle sometimes with certain things but I can more easily and quickly say "Lord Jesus if it's not from You I don't want it."
I feel another book coming!
