For some reason this makes me sad. The little girl started out trying to imitate what the others were doing, then kind of gave up. I feel badly for her. I also feel badly for the other little girls and the teacher/s. Somehow, I would have expected this at a younger age. Maybe she missed too many classes. If so, how can a teacher refuse to let a young child be part of the recital? Maybe her parents take her to classes, but don't engage other than that; they didn't know the routine and couldn't help her learn it at home. Maybe being part of a group learning situation is a little overstimulating for her. Just so many possible explanations; good and sad ones. One thing for sure; they are all beautiful little girls!
This never would’ve happened at my dance studio years ago. Kids this age are capable of doing a very simple dance. Also having teachers in the wings helping them out it’s a common practice. As a dance teacher of mini years I did not find this particularly funny I found it to be an organized and may be beyond their ability level.

I do not understand these videos that applaud the one child that does not follow directions, while it's the ones who are trying their hardest to do the routines that deserve applause. I also believe that certain "teachers" are only in it to take the money without actually teaching.
Very sweet ..but ruined the show after all the rehearsals, felt sorry for the other little girls who performed so well .. she is so cute n a real little live wire.. I had pupils who did things like this n had the audience in hysterics ....
