After years of UCS Dobby’s Sock discussion on EB I’m not sure this has lived up to the hype. You’ve mentioned that the pudding is just there to eat up the parts budget but I also think that’s true of the diary and Dobby builds. Would’ve liked to see the entire parts budget go towards a larger and more detailed sock. A plaque would’ve been nice too.
I wonder how the height of the figure compares with the other up-scaled minifigs? Is he a little shorter than Harry and Hermonie? Because if so, then perfect!

Wow, Caleb, you're being really productive today. I count 3 uploads so far. I think they did a better job on Groot (different franchise) than on Dobby. They could have made a more accurate model if it was larger. Maybe even as big as the Harry and Hermione figures.
I think this build is cute, and went together really easy. I don’t hate the pudding, but do see that it is a bit unnecessary. My biggest complaint with this is that the sock does not stay put. You breathe too close and the sock falls out of the book. I’d like a way to make it stay. Also, on a side note, do Lego sets always have extra pieces? This is my second build, and both have had extra bits left making me worry I put it together wrong.
I'm really glad you liked the build too! You're totally right about the sock though. And yeah - all sets have extra pieces! Typically they'll be the small 1x1s. They're put in there to make up for any potential mistakes in the factory as the sets are compiled by weight. 😄
I would think that the in universe reason to why Dobby looks different from the chamber of secrets film to deadly hollows is that he actually gotten to eat more than he did before to where he started to get his nutrients to where his face started to recover or something (I don’t read the books or watched the movies like I think that I only tried to watch them but being too young I feel asleep during a late night showing of the 2007 film I think.)

@@CheeseyStudios they definitely have a long list of characters they could do. Hopefully they do it but I did see where someone made their own Ron. Worst case scenario I’ll moc my own. It just seems wrong not to have them 3
I read the books alllll the time when I was younger. I admit my knowledge is a bit rusty these days, but the books were such a definitive part of my childhood!
