Before seeing this, I had found the usb-c to HDMI cable at a local store purely by chance. I bought it and connected as it only simply could be,
& Couldn't get the phone to send or share video with the monitor.
Seems I have one of the few phones that doesn't automatically (or have available software) to do such a thing.
Guess I'll eventually have to change to a model phone that can, economically

the video quality differs per product and not wire vs adapter. The only thing differs is that the adapter is more of an on the go choice because it can be easily carried while wired leans on to just at home or office use or similar situations where you dont change place often

I was able to connect my phone (galaxy note 10) to my tv using the hdmi-c cable. But for some reason, instead of displaying what's on my tv, it's displaying some... new desktop screen (where I have to use my phone as a mouse). How do I make it view my phone screen?
I believe that it actually starts samsung dex on your phone and uses the TV as a monitor and the phone as a touch pad. There should be a setting called smart view. Try using it instead. Another thing to try is, when in this new view, use the touch pad on the phone to navigate to the settings and try from there, or if it uses dex, try to do Start menu > turn off dex

I bought this cable and have a Motorola Pure G phone with a Ctype connection. I bought this cord based upon this video. It doesn't say that it is specific to a certain type of phone. Is there something I am missing here as the projector and TV is not picking up the signal. Very disappointed!!!
Motorola Pure G is usb-c 2.0. You need to have a phone with usb-c 3.0 or higher for this cable to work.

Do you know which brand Android phones are compatible? Microcenter said some phones are not compatible when trying to transfer files from phone to TV. Tracfone's Blu View 2 isn't compatible.

Late reply but the answer is no. I have that phone and just found out it doesn't support hdmi to type C for video. Not happy as I spent £18 on cable first.

Sometimes there is a special hdmi port on smart tvs that is designated for Audio Return Channel... so it will be marked as ARC while the other ports may not confer sound.
