With the 3 cylinder Perkins Dan, you have to re torque the head down after getting the engine hot for the first time, otherwise you'll be doing the head gasket again sooner than you think, you'll be amazed how much it'll torque down again, trust me, been there got the T shirt 😂😂
The mystery still continues, agreed what you've said even with a worn it should sound nicer. I remember seeing a blowtorch to start a reluctant to start 23C gray and gold once, thank you for the video 🙂 p's when you get it sorted don't forget to put a Serviced and repaired Cowfarmerdan sticker on it 😁👍
There is a slight miss i can here it spitting a bit. I would have a look at the timing before id go do much else. Both engine and pump timing. Best of luck Dan.
There's and old adage I was instructed with....... If the top end of a diesel is refurbished alone, the bottom end will soon be knocked out. I appreciate you are trying to keep the cost down, but it soon becomes a false economy.
Another great video Dan 👍 It could have cracked liners and possibility of broken rings. I would just give it a complete rebuild. Hopefully the cricket club have the funds to do so. Then give it some heavy work.
For the short time it ran it sounded like it had a slight rhythmical miss, I would guess the timing was slightly out on the fuel (worn timing chain) On old series land rovers you can undo the injection pump and rotate it slightly to correct that slight miss. Not sure if you could do that on the MF.? Good video! 👍
Another great video video Dan thanks for sharing,I was wondering only yesterday when the next video was going to be of the 35 hopefully get it ready for the cricket season next year
Perkins P3 ............a prehistoric engine.... any evolution for yearssssssssssssss It was/it is very easy to instal a pre-heating candles.... and il will start tik tok!!!!...

Loving this 2 parter thanks Dan
The blow torch is a step up from a burning rag!
Must be really worn out to be running like that , looking forward to the next episode of the saga 👍

Good to see you back. It sounded like a bag of nails however, knowing you, I'm sure you will get to the bottom of it.
Oooh excited to see how the old girl gets on in the next instalment. Great video! 👍

No timing chain in the Perkins engine.
@@CowfarmerDan oh well… if you ever get an old Landrover I might be able to help. Lol 😆
Runs good enough for rolling a cricket pitch
Great video. Thank you
Great video 🚜🚜
Try moving the injector pump around on the slots both ways it might take the splutter out of it and cut the smoke down too

Nice one Dan
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
I wish you good luck with this unloved tractor.
New pistons, rings and dry sleeves? Hopefully all the bearings are OK but to my ears it needs a cylinder overhaul plus inspection of bottom end.
17:21 moth escapes from wallet😂
Just wondering if there's any chance she might have bent a rod running like that
quick question when you put a copper head gasket on do you use copper gasket sealer or fit it dry, great videos btw fantastic stuff 👍👍
I used a sealer.
Hi Mart, is the chrome bar below the windscreen a heated demister bar and does it work?
Add Urdu language in video caption from Pakistan ❤❤❤❤
Hope the cost doesn't hit the club commitee for six...
Hopefully you will get away with pistons and rings and hone the bores but you never know
Be surprised if you haven't got a cracked linner
🙏🙏🇮🇪🇮🇪👍👍
