The nationwide search for the next superstar kicked off in August as the Idol Bus traveled covering 23 cities across the country. Auditioning was made easier than ever as hopefuls also had the opportunity to submit audition videos online as well as via select social media platforms using an official tag The Next Idol cultivating over 300,000 posts. Also for the first time in “American Idol” history hopefuls had the opportunity to audition through a livestream platform.
Helping to determine who America will ultimately vote for to become the next singing sensation are music industry forces and superstar judges Luke Bryan Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Host and producer Ryan Seacrest will return as host of the beloved series.

My brother surprised my parents to see Auntie Patti. It was a dinner and performance 🎉❤. Although they had the best seats ever. I was alittle jelly, I wanted to stowaway and just sit under table like a little kid to see her perform. My parents are just entering their early 60s. My daddy said she seeing Auntie on stage upfront and personal he said TV serves her no justice. He also said he thought she was going to blow the MIC out. He said he voice is so strong and powerful he felt the vibration go thru his whole body. He also said it's so beautifully overwhelming it brings tears to your eyes. And she doesn't look a day past 55 yrs old. She was putting other women to shame with her being graceful and beautiful. ❤

OMG, Patti looks SO amazing!! She is just 3 days shy of her 74th bday on this ep and looks even better than she did at some points when she was younger!! AND it is SO refreshing to have a drag queen that can ACTUALLY sing instead of all the lip syncing that most of them do! I love Ada and even tho I didn’t discover her until 8-31-2020 thru GTG or smtg similar, I’m hooked! I love how ALL 3 judges are behind her too, especially Lionel, who comes from a different era. I quit watching AI numerous years ago & only recently discovered that it had been uncancelled cuz I no longer watch tv, only iPad, so I’m always behind on things! I’m glad I clicked on Ada yesterday & thanx to whomever posted her videos for me to see!
